Teeth whitening?
I want to whiten my teeth for my wedding day because I was a smoker for 6 years and I am an avid coffee drinker. I have a gap in my front teeth and never got it fixed so I thought whitening my teeth is the way to go, to kinda hide those flaws. So ladies whats your over the counter teeth whitening brands of choice? Oh and is there dental office treatment that is less then $75. That would be great too. I would love to know your guy's secrets...lol

My dentist said any of the whitening strips will work it will just take a lot longer than doing the trays from the dentist. Mine said it would cost $500. I read online that you are can rinse with peroxide and then brush your teeth right away.

I drink about 5 pepsis a day so my teeth get very stained very fast. I started using Crest Pro Health with Whitening tooth paste, Listerine with Whitening, and Crest whitening strips and they did the job! after my teeth looked white I stopped the Crest whitening strips and just daily (2-3xs) used the ProHealth whitening and the Listerine Whitening. all together they did wonders! :D wow..I sound like a commercial for Crest except for the Listerine! LOL

Oh and I have a chipped tooth so my teeth are super sensitive. The strips bothered that but the tooth past and the Listerine didn't. :)

Oh I have a chipped tooth too kinda. some of the porcelain from the repair has chipped off not sure if the tooth is exposed or not. Yeah my left side of my month is sensitive and 99% of the time I am eating on my right side not noticing it. I used sensodyne toothpaste every other tube. I don't care about the sensitivity of it. I just have to have my teeth white...lol No pain no gain. I just wish I could keep that motto up for working out...lol

haha I did the no pain no gain thing too. I haven't used the whitening strips in 4 years? something like that. I had a huge skating competition and I didn't want to be smiling at the judges with gross teeth haha so I sucked it up with those but as soon as the pro health line came out I got it. I love it! My teeth always feel like I just got back from the dentist!,....woah there goes that commercial of mine again!

The Crest Whitening strips do work. I have used them before. Right now I am using the Listerine Whitening mouthwash and Colgate Whitening toothpaste and it does the job.

Are these toothpastes gel or paste? My FH and I hate gels, they don't seem to foam up right to us. So we are paste people...lol

I've used Crest white strips in the past (need to get back on that!) and they worked. I think the box says to use 2x / day for 2 wks or something like that. I would always forget. They still work if you don't do them as often as your supposed to it just takes longer of course. And I have used the Listerine whiting pre-rinse. Last time I was at the dentist I asked what they recommend for over the counter whiting products and both of these were on their list! Good luck

I agree with Beckyboo...that regimen totally works! Crest Pro Health is a paste and I absolutely love it! I started using it about 4 months ago and wont go back to any other kind of toothpaste!

Crest white strips is the way to go, they really work, I have also used the target brand and they work as well.

That's a good question! I was wondering about this myself. About one year ago I paid for have my teeth whitened and will never pay that kind of money again because my teeth didn't stay that color for long. I do drink coffee daily so now knowing what I know, I would definitely go with an OTC product that will be much less.

Number one- don't use the kind of whitening that you "paint" or brush on your teeth. They will make your teeth incredibly sensitive and even breathing in and out will make it feel like you put ice on your teeth.

There's a new Crest strip out right now for about $45.00 I believe. It sticks to your teeth so it doesn't slide around. They work very well. Add that with Crest Whitening toothpaste and make sure you brush after every meal. It'll do wonders
