I dont know if you have seen submerged flowers but they can be beachy. You will need large cylinder vases and a beachy flower. Use sand or seashells at the bottom. You can even dye the water blue or something...

I think the picture is a gel candle but you can google submerged flowers and do it with water and a floating candle...

Also Google (select images) beachy centerpieces and all kind of cute things come up.

I've also seen where people will use a nice fish bowl or just a low round glass vase & put sand or seashells at the bottom. You can fill it up with water & put a floating candle on top for some glow too if you'd like...I'm using the submerged flower idea for some of the reception centerpieces.

Here are a few I like. We are leaning towards the white orchid.

I have a "nautical" theme going... we're doing floating gardenias in a fishbowl with glass pebbles in ivory/champagne , tea candles around the bowl, and scattering shells around that. I'm adding a navy accent by using our favors (ribbon bookmarks with ship wheel and starfish charms) wrapped around the napkins as a napkin ring Smiley smile

If you are looking for glass candle holders, try the Dollar Tree! Everything is a dollar and they will ship to your nearest store!

I am getting 100 for our destination wedding and having them shipped to my W.C.

Interested in the discussion. We are having a destination wedding in Mexico on Feb 24, and a month later we are having our at-home reception. We cannot have sand or lit candles...so we are kind of at a loss, but these pictures sure have helped give me some new ideas to try out and play with. I also shopped a lot of clearance sales at random stores like Target, Walmart, Michael's, Hobby Lobby, local stores as well for glass wear, glass stones, rocks, shells, etc. I have bought a variety of different jars and vases however I was at a standstill with what we were planning on doing so thank you for the inspiration so I can get these accomplished and off of my shoulders! Smiley smile
