lighting ideas, please
The venue has regular tile celling lights. I'm on a budget & the lights are way to bright. I can't hang anything or no candles.(Venue rules) I can use flameless candles though. I was thinking letting lots of balloons go on the celling?!? Do you think that would shade some of the light?

it just might....could you get like a dozen balloons and test it out over one of the lights? we are having a bunch of flameless candles at our reception next weekend, so I'll let you know how they all look.

Is it where all the lights on or all off? Maybe you could ask them take some of the lights out of the socket?

You can rent Par 38 lights (uplights) from Baystage lighting in Tampa for about $6-8 dollars each. Pick one wall and spread them out about every 8 to 10 feet. You just transformed your room into an elegant mater piece.

Good Luck

FYI...I'm not aware of any way you can shade fluorescent lighting or over head lights.
