Our two VW buses will be there. Our invitations and cake are VW inspired (elegantly though). I have garden gnomes in my garden that *might* be travelling down to make an appearance at the mansion's gardens Smiley winking

I'm not a huge fan of the overly personalized decor, I've been to those weddings and can't help but think that the bride spent way too much time on Pintrest and it looked a bit kitschy.

We used an engagement photo with our seating chart, had an "Established June 6, 2015" sign with our names and colored table linens. And I think everything looked great.

We'll have antlers on the table since FH hunts and this is our cake topper. I know it's super cheezy, but we both love the outdoors and hiking. I'm planning to paint the groom's coat camo Smiley smile That's the only bit of camo in my wedding though! Also we'll have a lot of antiques with yard sale and flea market finds around which I love.

eta: I also plan on adding a resin shiba inu (our dog) if I can find one to glue to the cake topper too

For childhood pictures, we're putting these on the bathroom doors.

And for another personal touch, FH is HUGE into German culture, music, food, everything. So for bouquet vases at the head table, we're using Das Boots.

We are turning our cocktail hour into a board game bar.

We are being *kind* of subtle about it.

We are doing a travel theme, which speaks for us alone. We're adding personal "nerdy" touches just so the wedding is more us. A Game of Thrones reading, Doctor Who cufflinks for FH, etc. Nothing over the top like cheesy facts for table numbers (sorry, just personal opinion) or trivia, etc.

We will do a cake like this for our reception, but include Lego Welders, and Lego CAT trucks because FH designs gold and diamond mining eqiupment...and then welds it all together. Our centre pieces will be ocean-y things (like starfish and such, because I love the beach and we were both born and raised on an Island), and books.

We will have engagement pictures on these shelves that are in the hallway to the bathrooms. Otherwise it's a little more typical personal touches (isn't most of what you do personal in a way? Smiley smile) like a decorative "L" on the cake table, bringing hand soaps and lotions for the bathrooms, the cake topper, roses (both of our middle names), etc...

    What are you doing?!

I was thinking about gathering family wedding photos and putting them out, but I feel like it'll be one of those things I'll forget to ask for until it's too late

We were going to get some childhood photos for the gifts table, but I procrastinated so hard on that that MIL just pulled some pictures of us off her walls and put them up. Haha it worked perfectly.

I collect and love skull motifs. I bought little wooden bride/groom figures from Michael's. I painted them to mimic the outfits we're wearing and painted the faces like sugar skulls. I hope it doesn't look juvenile or goofy. I saw similar toppers on Etsy for like $80+ and figured I could make my own. Cost me less than $15

Also doing a unity canvas/paint ceremony instead of sand because I'm artsy. And our favors are chocolate chip cookies (FH loooooves cookies)

We did picture frames as the table numbers, and the photos in the frame corresponded with the number. We met playing sports, so a few of the pics were us in teeball or soccer uniforms when we were little and the number on our jersey was the table number. then we did some ages, and we started running out of numbers towards the end.... but people really liked them!

    I LOVE THAT CAKE~

Most of our couples choose personalized hand written stories for the ceremony.

My FH and I collect stylized figures called Funko Pops. My avatar shows two Pops that we had customized to look like us in our wedding finery - they are going to serve as our cake topper. Table numbers are going to be personalized, though I'm not entirely sure how yet - possibly just numbers on watermark pictures of some of our joint interests, like the Serenity or our cats. I got a free credit for a photo book from Shutterfly some time ago and made a book telling how we met, the journey of our relationship... that's going to be out on a table for guests to browse if they'd like. And one of my favorite things: planning to have a small table somewhat off to the side with some candles to honor relatives who have passed away. I'm going to try to get their wedding photos to display on the table, too. One of my friends did something similar for her wedding and it was subtle but very touching.

Our cake topper was a convertible, that I painted blue to look like one of our cars. Car are one of our hobbies. We also had photobook with our engagement photos as our guestbook. During our ceremony we included our story and had personal vows. Overall the venue and decor reflected our style, and just felt like us.

We chose school buses as our guest shuttles, not only for the cost but because I am a teacher and FH and I met when we were both working at the same high school Smiley smile We will have a personalized chalkboard sign welcoming guests, similar to this one. Also, we are using a photobook of our e-pics as our guestbook and having a memorial table of family/wedding photos. My bff gifted us with these toasting flutes so we will have these displayed by the cake table Smiley smile Nothing over the top, but I think guests will see touches of our personalities throughout our wedding!

Our table numbers are pictures and names of coliseums/arenas/parks we have been to together!
