Wild Basin Lodge and Event Center

My husband and I got married here in August of 2025. We both knew the first time we toured WBL that we had found our venue. We looked around at a few others in the area (just to do our due diligence)- but this just helped us know for certain that WBL was the best choice for us. The entire process was seamless, from booking, to planning, to the day of! Maddie and Hawley made sure everything ran so smoothly- and we are so greatful to the entire team for all of their work! The attention to detail and work that the staff put in to making this the most special day was incredible. This venue is the perfect venue for couples looking for an "all inclusive" venue that allows you to put your own personal spin on things. I couldn't recommend this venue to have your wedding at more.

We were so lucky to book this venue for our wedding on 08/30/25 — it truly made our dream come true.

You can immediately tell that this is a well-run, professional, and caring venue. During our initial tour at WBL, Codi was incredibly knowledgeable and made us feel so comfortable. We fell in love with the venue right away.

Here’s a breakdown of the highlights we think you’ll love when considering this venue:

View:
The view is what sealed the deal for us. The outdoor ceremony space is absolutely breathtaking. They even have “alcoholic llamas” (our nickname for them!) that carry beverages on their backs. We had them during our cocktail hour, and our guests LOVED it.

Cost:
The venue includes catering and several beverage package options. The pricing is reasonable and not overly expensive for this area, especially considering everything that’s included.

Food:
Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food — it was delicious! We even had them incorporate local wild mushrooms into our menu, which was such a special touch.

Location:
Our guests stayed in Estes Park, and we arranged a shuttle service to and from the lodge. It made transportation easy and convenient for everyone.

Amenities:
The venue recently underwent renovations, and everything looks beautiful. My hair and makeup artists, photographer, and videographer all commented on how stunning the bridal suite was. There are two adjoining rooms — one with plenty of vanity mirrors and another with private curtained sections for changing.

Coordinator:
Now for the best part — the coordination team! Lauren was our wedding coordinator, and she was absolutely AMAZING. She stayed on top of every detail throughout the planning process and took such great care of us on our wedding day. She always responded promptly to my (many!) emails and was incredibly helpful and kind.

On the big day, Lauren handled everything — setting up décor, keeping the timeline on track, coordinating with vendors, checking in with our families, and even making sure we were fed whenever possible. I have no idea how she managed it all while still smiling the entire time!

The entire WBL team was fantastic — well-coordinated, attentive, and professional. Because of them, we were able to truly relax and enjoy our day without any stress.

We are so thankful to WBL for giving us such a seamless, magical wedding experience. It was truly the most beautiful day of our lives.

We absolutely loved getting married at Wild Basin! They are extremely professional, the staff is AMAZING, we loved that it was an inclusive venue with food and dj included, they will help you with anything that you need and they are so nice! We had Maddie as our day of coordinator and she went above and beyond to make our day perfect! We got so many compliments from our family and guest about Maddie!! We love her! HIghly recommend this venue it is gorgeous and the staff is one of a kind!

My wife and I got married at Wild Basin Lodge in September 2025, and it was an absolute dream! Lauren and the WBL team made planning an absolute breeze, and the wedding itself went without a hitch. I cannot speak highly enough of this venue, it couldn't have been more perfect! We highly recommend the elevated package, as the included vendors and contracting through the venue made everything so simple. Lauren put so much time and effort into our wedding! The venue itself is stunning and newly renovated. It was the perfect mountain getaway, without being too rustic. So thankful for Lauren and all of the staff - their dedication to our day was truly incredible.

We are just over a month from our wedding day and are still completely in awe at how perfectly smooth everything was. Our day would not have been as incredible without the remarkable staff of Wild Basin Lodge, especially our day-of-coordinator, Codi. Codi gave us our initial tour in June 2024 and we had a connection with her immediately. She genuinely was invested in the experience we were looking for and took the time to show us everything the venue had to offer and answer any and all questions we had. The staff was kind enough to offer a champagne wall and signature cocktails when we booked by a specific day, which was an added bonus to the experience we wanted to have for ourselves and our guests. The venue checked all of our boxes for a late summer wedding as our priorities were focused on an open bar, endless dancing, and photos to capture all of the fun and smiles. The highlight of WBL for us was having catering, liquor, linens, tables, chairs, etc. included with additional decor available, which helped to reduce overall costs. The Meadow Peak ceremony site is unbelievably stunning with mountain views, greenery, and wildflowers. The staff was accommodating to all dietary restrictions for us and all guests, which was especially important as a bride with food restrictions. The chef was able to make nearly every food option we wanted gluten free, our appetizers were a hit, and the meal was one of the best dinners I’ve ever had at a wedding. Multiple guests were vocal about how grateful they were that their food restrictions could be accommodated with delicious options (i.e. not just a salad for vegetarians). Codi and her team were very prompt and thorough to our questions throughout the process and allowed us to visit the venue a couple of additional times (outside of the tour, tasting, and final walkthrough). We were so pleased with all of the amazing recent renovations, which made the dancefloor more open and offered a more modern feel without losing its mountain charm. We would highly recommend Wild Basin Lodge to anyone looking for a perfect mountain wedding with incredible experience, food, bar options, decor options, local recommendations, and a team who is incredibly caring, thorough, and responsive to all needs.

Planning a wedding isn't supposed to be easy, but with Wild Basin Lodge it was! WBL is the absolute perfect choice for your Colorado mountain wedding dreams. Our big day went absolutely perfectly and it is all thanks to the WBL staff and plethora of planning resources.

From the beginning, we knew we made the right choice with WBL. We had a virtual meeting with Hawley who took us through a virtual tour of the property and explained everything about the venue and the wedding process itself. This was a destination wedding for us, so learning that WBL basically handles everything for you was the perfect selling point. You get assigned a Coordinator to help you with anything you need through the wedding, WBL has all the food and drinks in house, they have a list of approved vendors that are all incredible AND WBL pays through the wedding cost (You pay WBL one lump sum and they take it from there), a shared Google Drive with any resources you may need, and most of all - Wild Basin Lodge is VERY reasonably priced. For the beauty of not only the location, but also the lodge and everything else they have to offer - This might be the best wedding venue in the state!

Our coordinator was Lauren who was just an absolute gem! She frequently checked in on us and held our hand throughout the whole process. She went above and beyond in tons of ways and was always quick to respond to our questions or even give amazing suggestions. In fact, she recommended all of our vendors which ended up being phenomenal! We used 2 Shoes Entertainment, Marquise Photography, Wild Blossoms Studio, and La Momo Maes Bakery and we can't recommend every single of those vendors enough. On top of being a great coordinator, Lauren was also super friendly and sweet. She even recommended local camping spots for us since we were road tripping! We cannot thank Lauren enough for all her help!

On top of the mentioned staff, every worker in general on the big way were fantastic as well. Everyone from the kitchen/wait/bar staff to people floating around making things are okay - just genuinely amazing people. We had tons of great conversations with every worker we talked to. It was almost as if Wild Basin Lodge were our friends and guests of the wedding themselves!

Thanks again Wild Basin Lodge for hosting our wedding and making it absolutely PERFECT! We will always remember this day and hope plenty of other couples get the opportunity to have their wedding here.

We stumbled upon this venue that was absolutely perfect for our micro wedding of 22 people! We got married in the meadow and had dinner on the wraparound deck. Our experience working with Hawley and Codi was exceptional. We highly recommend adding on the llamas and the honeymoon suite!

We had our wedding at Wild Basin Lodge at the end of May and it was truly magical! The venue is gorgeous, the recent remodel is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the lodge staff were the best! Lauren, our day-of event planner, helped make our day run smooth and was so accommodating and helpful. We could not have asked for a better wedding experience. HIGHLY recommend Wild Basin Lodge for all your wedding!

Wild Basin Lodge was truly the wedding venue of our dreams! From the moment we toured the space, we knew it was something special. Nestled in the heart of Allenspark, the lodge offered those cozy mountain vibes and jaw-dropping views that gave our guests a real taste of Colorado. Every single space was thoughtfully designed and created the perfect flow for our day — from our ceremony in the beautiful meadow with the mountains as a backdrop, to our first dance next to the river, it felt like something out of a dream.

The staff at Wild Basin Lodge were warm, welcoming, and so attentive throughout the entire process. Lauren was absolutely incredible to work with — she collaborated seamlessly with our wedding planner to make sure every detail was just right, and we felt so supported from start to finish.

We also loved all the fun and unique add-ons they offer — our guests are *still* talking about the beverage llamas and the whiskey tasting! The food was outstanding, far beyond typical “wedding food,” and everything was beautifully presented and delicious.

This venue isn't just stunning — it has heart. You can feel the love and care the team puts into every event. Wild Basin Lodge gave us an unforgettable wedding day and a place that will always feel like home to us. We cannot recommend it enough!

Wild Basin was the perfect wedding venue for us! The team made everything so easy throughout the whole process - which for us, as an out of state couple, was super important. Any time we had a question, the Wild Basin team was easily reachable and answered all our questions. We came into our wedding day stress free, with total confidence the day would go off exactly how we wanted it!
