My husband and I had the privilege of working with James and Maartje for our September 2009 wedding in Burlington, VT. James did a wonderful job at the wedding. We received many compliments from family and friends regarding his professionalism and friendliness. We are very pleased with the pictures. James did exactly as we requested and gave us a mix of candids and posed shots. He made sure to include pictures of all of our guests and captured all of the important moments. Sykes Melchiors Photography is flexible and a great value. We highly recommend them!

James and Maartje were wonderful to work with, and the pictures were beautiful! James visited the wedding site before the wedding to get ideas about angles for photos and hear what we wanted for pictures. James showed up over an hour before the wedding started to get pictures of the setting and preparation. During the wedding he was very discreet. I did not even notice he was there most of the time. He got a variety of photos of almost everyone there, while being very attentive to who grandparents and important family and friends were. After the wedding I was very pleased with the results. I received two DVDs of over 2000 photos as well as 200 prints and a poster sized landscape photo of all our family. Later on James and Maartje even put together a wedding scrap book online for us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a great price. They were very personable and affordable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer for their wedding or any special event!
