Tamela and Southern Bouquets is probably the only vendor I would NOT HIRE if I had to do it all over again. She is easy to get a hold of BEFORE you hire her -- but, after -- well, it could take her over a month to get back to you. In addition, she often told me that "I didn't get your email,” funny, I forwarded it to her at the same address and she did get it then... Also, I sent her a nice “feedback” email after the wedding with my concerns – no response, no apology – this shouldn’t have been a big surprise to me at all.

Yes, I was mainly happy with the flowers -- but, what we had discussed and my "vision" did not translate into what my flowers looked like on my wedding day. We had talked about "brightening up" my bouquet at our last meeting -- it was on the final invoice to do this -- and on the day of -- her helper noticed my disappointment and quickly added some "extra dahlias," which helped -- but, those should have been in the bouquet to begin with.

All of the men's boutonnieres came wrapped in ivory -- only the groom's was to be wrapped in ivory. Per the invoice the groomsmen were to be wrapped in brown and the fathers in rustic orange.

I had two types of centerpieces for the tables -- low and high. I really liked the low centerpieces -- however, when we originally talked Tamela showed me a tall centerpiece that was all flowers with the candles hanging down from it. Because that is what you showed she that is what I pictured would be on my tables as well - just in my colors, with the types of flowers that I wanted. She asked if greenery was okay, I said some, not a lot. The majority of the tall centerpieces were greenery (which I know was much cheaper for her to purchase) -- not flowers -- like the picture -- like what I wanted. If this would have cost more -- I would have paid it -- I wanted the picture -- just in my colors and my flowers. Also, the invoice didn't even mention greenery.

Also, the week of, she tells me that she will not be the one setting up -- instead it will be someone else who I never even talked to. To be honest I am not even sure who put the flowers together, Tamela or her helper.

In addition, when we originally met with Tamela, she had told me and my fiancé that she could work with a linen company and then provide us the linens at a vendor to vendor price and would be able to arrange pick-up for my bouquet that I wanted to get preserved. This is part of the reason we went with her -- I just thought she could help with making things a bit easier for me. Boy, was I wrong. So, we went to her recommended linen vendor and picked out what we wanted. I get back to her and tell her the linens we chose and that I would also like to get my bouquet preserved (she said that she could pick it up the night of the wedding and deliver it to the preserver for me) -- she then tells me "I don't offer thoses services anyone." Well, it was in the contract -- so, she should have. I didn't feel like arguing with her, and felt if I did it could compromise the quality of the flowers -- so, I let it go. But, regardless, an example of her lack of follow through.

BOTTOM LINE -- very disappointed with Tamela and her overall professionalism and care about me and making my day exactly what I had envisioned. I was a very laid back bride -- maybe I should have been more on top of her -- maybe that would have made a difference. If you want very basic flower arrangements (example: all one type of flower) she would probably be fine. But, if you want a more designer look with multiple types of flowers – then I would NOT hire Tamela and Southern Bouquets.

Tamela never made me feel anything less than her most important client (even though I knew she had a ton of clients)!! She 100% captured my vision for the wedding and I couldn't have been any happier! Today, a month and a half after the event, I still receive lots of compliments on how beautiful the decor was at the wedding! Thank you Southern Bouquets for helping to make my dream come true!

Tamela provided gorgeous flowers that really made our reception beautiful. She has a great eye for design and was very helpful with all of our questions. She truly made the whole process painless, which says alot about a wedding vendor.

Wanst the greatest at comprehending exactly what we wanted.. we wound up have extra flowers for people that werent even in the wedding, ie. ring bearer, extra groomsmen... which could have been put towards other decor

The room looked fabulous! And, my bouquet was exactly what I wanted. Really, looking back, the flowers were one of my favorite parts of my wedding and reception. Tamela did the bridal flowers for my daughter's wedding in February of 2010. They were absolutely beautiful. Because of our venue, only bridal flowers could be brought in. Oh, how I wish Tamela could have done all of them! I highly reccommend her!!!

I was extremely pleased with all of my flower arrangements and bouquets. My table arrangements were exactly what I had pictured in my mind for my wedding day. They were absolutely breath-taking and I recieved tons of compliments on all of the flowers!

I gave Tamela pictures of what I wanted and guess what...that's exactly what I got. Everything looked amazing and the hydrangea and Chinese lantern Bridesmaid bouquets dried magnificently, as they said they would. Now they're hanging around my house for added beauty. Great job ladies!!!

Amy did an amazing job with our flowers! I brought in several specific pictures of what we wanted and they did exactly that and more! They were really willing to work with me and even did me a huge favor... I had picked out some tan columns I really, really wanted to set our ceremony arrangements on and somehow before my wedding, one of the columns went missing. I was pretty disappointed because I was going to have to have stark white columns which didn't really match the colors of my wedding. On the day of the wedding, some beautiful tan columns showed up and turns out, Amy had painted the columns for me to make our arrangements look perfect and even named them the Sapp columns after us! Additionally, above the service, their pricing is the best in town, especially considering what the final result is! Definitely trust Southern Bouquets for your wedding!

Tamela and Amy were great the first time we met with them for a consultation. I was very impressed with her portfolio and thought she would be great to work with. Then we signed our contract and everything went downhill from there.

Tamela and Amy became difficult to reach and really failed to listen to our vision for our wedding flowers. She was rude to me on several occasion and also insulted my mother who lives out state over the phone numerous times. I especially did not appreciate this treatment after paying over $5000 for our flowers.

After seeing a small free mock-up that was completely the wrong colors and design I scoured the internet and found pictures of what I wanted. We then paid FULL price for 2 different mock-ups before the wedding to ensure our flowers were done correctly. The mock-ups turned out beatutiful, however, that is not what arrived on our wedding day.

I was so utterly disappointed when I walked into the ballroom and saw our flowers for the first time. Different flowers were used and all of our table center pieces looked dried out and almost dead...like that had been made several days in advance. We had even paid extra for certain flowers the and NONE of them showed up in our center pieces. She completely disregarded specific items in our contract and failed to deliver a quality product on our actual wedding day. However, I will give her credit for the bouquets...they were lovely.

After the wedding we requested a refund for the items in our contract that we paid for up front for but did not recieve. She refused to refund any of our money and continued to make excuses. We ended up having to dispute the issue with our credit card company to get our money back.

I would not reccomend Southern Bouquets to anyone if you are looking for a quality product and excellent service on your wedding day.

Our flowers were completely gorgeous! I did not have very specific ideas going into the planning--just an overall theme and favorite colors. Southern Bouquet created beautiful designs that I was so happy with. Very reasonable and very flexible.

Our flowers were absolutely beautiful. Tamela did such a wonderful job. In my first meeting, she put me at ease. I brought in a couple of pictures and explained to her what I was thinking, and she said she knew exactly what to do. Everything was perfect. I was a little concerned because I wanted to use hydrangeas but they would not be in season...she reassured me that we would be able to use them and they would be beautiful, and she was right! She made our reception look amazing. I would highly recommend them! The only downfall was how far their office is from downtown Atlanta. It is well worth the trip, though.

All of our floral decor was simply stunning. We were married at Carl House, and rather than using the standard trellis, Tamela suggested we use sprays made of daisies, vibernum, bells of Ireland and Snapdragons that would cascade down the walls. They were absolutely amazing. As if the garden weren't beautiful enough, the sprays and potted daisies that lined the aisle somehow popped yet blended into the scenery. The bouquets were gorgeous as well. The bridesmaids bouquets were bright and sunny and my bouquet of peonies and champagne British roses blended perfectly with my ivory dress.

Southern Bouquets even went above and beyond. They scattered gerberas throughout the reception space and dressed up each and every inch of the venue. The ballroom was a pleasant surprise to walk into. The one and ONLY comment that I must say, and I hate saying, is that we had our consultation with Tamela and really discussed every little nitty gritty detail with her. Right before the wedding, we wanted to request a few changes and Tamela would not speak to us. Her assistants would call us, which was great because they were extremely nice and helpful, but our preference would have been to speak to the person that had heard my vision and brainstormed with me. She wasn't at the wedding setting up either, which turned out fine because the rest of her staff is so competent, but there were a few tiny (really in the grand sceme of things not that important) details that weren't right because Tamela was the only one that we had discussed those ideas with.

Overall, though, they are above and beyond worth it. They have a style that is all their own and I don't believe there is another florist in Georgia that makes arrangements and bouquets half as beautiful as Southern Bouquets.
