Working with Angela was such a blast. I was planning my wedding from out of town so I had to rely a lot on emails, facebook and phone calls. Angela was very helpful, attentive and professional. Her and her staff made our wedding absolutely magical. I will definitely recommend her over and over again. Honeymoon Island is such a wonderful place and Angela and her staff makes it even more special.

While looking through my wedding pictures, I am reminded of why I chose to get married and have my reception at Honeymoon Island. It is the ideal setting for a beach bride and provides the perfect backdrop to your special day. I worked closely with Angela (you're awesome) who she led me through the process and helped me with anything and everything. She answered my 1000's of questions, reassured me that everything would be fine when I was panicking, and made it her priority to make my day the best it could be. My wedding was everything I had hoped it would be and more.

My husband and I decided we wanted to get married on a local beach and Honeymoon Island was the first to come to mind. Working with Angela and Shane was awesome. They are so caring and just a joy to work with. They made everything so easy. The day turned out perfectly, I couldn't have asked for anything more! :)

My husband and I knew we wanted to get married on the beach, and as soon as we visited Honeymoon Island we knew it was the perfect place! The wedding coordinators were very easy to work with; they were flexible as our guest list went from 75 people to 100 people, and then up to 125 people! We even changed the location of both our ceremony & reception over the 2 years we planned with their staff. They also were able to recommend some great vendors in the area that they have worked with for years.
I knew the Island was the perfect place for my wedding, but they really proved it to me the night of my wedding/reception. They set everything up just as my husband and I requested. They helped with decorating, lighting, and even moving tables to make room to dance later on. The staff was extremely professional the entire night; most of our guests were on vacation from other states & loved everything about the entire wedding.

My husband and I are truly thankfully to the Honeymoon Island staff for making our special day so perfect!

We had a destination wedding in Florida. We picked Honeymoon Island since we have family close in St. Pete and Dunedin. The beach could not have been more beautiful. The sunset wedding, the beautiful tent, and great food was a huge success. The staff were all so personable and easy to work with. I would suggest this place to anyone.

My husband and I got married here on Valentine's Day 2009. Service, Professionalism, Cost & Flexibility couldn't be better. Everyone I dealt with was great and I never had any issues before the wedding day.

I did have to rate a 3/5 on quality of service because of a couple issues on our day..... to some this may be sounding picky, however, remember it is your wedding day and professionals should get it right, especially the simple requests....

1. chairs were not set up correctly
2. aisle was not made wide enough, as requested, for both of my parents to walk me down together, my mom had to wind up walking behind me instead of next to me.
3. the most MAJOR reason for lower rating.... we arrived for the start of our ceremony to find out that they had moved our location to another section of the beach then from what we had originally selected!!! no one informed us of this, so imagine our surprise......especially when we had went our earlier that morning before they set up and put down our aisle runner, a sign, pillars and baskets with rose petals and programs inside, at where our ceremony was supposed to be, all of which went somehow disappeared by the time we went to collect it afterwards. So not only did we not have the location that we picked, we also didn't have any of the stuff we set up there and then it was stolen..... oh, and all the map cards we had printed showed our guests the original place to go, so imagine the confusion that caused them, plus, we were scheduled to be right at sunset so we could capture the beautiful backdrop, but since things got all mixed up, we missed out on our prime sunset by about 10 minutes too!! All in all though, the ceremony was still beautiful and all that really mattered in the end was that we were married :)

So definitely make sure you double check they set you up where you should be.

4. lastly, our area on the beach was clean, however, lots of rocks. they did attempt to clean up the area, but they really didnt do a very good job at it, so be sure to check out your area the night before or morning of to make sure the walkway areas you will be utilizing are clear enough. Most of my family & guests, even myself, had an extremely hard time trying to get to seats and down aisle, a few even fell down, as well as myself having a few close calls.

To help make up for everything, they did offer for us to go back one day and have a free day on the island with use of beach furniture, watercrafts, ferry, lunch and drinks... so that helps make up for everything now that we have had time to get over it all to where we could kind of laugh about it now... we are looking forward to going as part of our anniversary weekend next month.

I still highly recommend them for anyone who wants a beautiful beach wedding overlooking nothing but ocean. they have a ton of different locations to pick from for your perfect view. fyi... if you go through them for everything, it is a bit pricey, we only used them for chair rental, set up, take down and of course the required fees for event & entrance, you can really save a ton if you bring in your own vendors and such.

Kim and Shane were great to work with. Our ceremony took place on an island - reachable only by boat. Coordination was critical! Kim and Shane worked with our coordinator, musician and florist to make sure that everything ran smoothly and on time. Brought great ideas. They were very accomodating - just great. Can't say enough good things. I highly recommend Caladesi Island - and Kim and Shane.
