I fell in love with Tony's work from his website- however that pales in comparison to the images he was able to capture from our quaint 55 person wedding. His innovative outlook and creative style were the pictures I wanted from my most important day. I could not have asked for more beautiful shots. My husband is not the most photogenic person- and he managed to capture his most vulnerable moments. I can not thank Tony enough for going out of his way every step of the way. You know you are dealing with a true professional when you do not even have to give any direction what so ever. I would recommend Tony to anyone who is looking for those extra special pictures and who knows that they are getting not just a photographer- but a lifetime of memories you never even knew were captured. Tony is incredibly talented and has the ability to capture shots that make any bride both glamourous and gorgeous. I have never felt that I take great pictures and I have since learned it's all in the person taking the picture. Tony gave me some of the most spectacular pictures I have ever had! We used him for engagment photos and my bridal photos. Every one that saw my photos thought they were done for a magazine.

Tony was an amazing vendor that provided a tremendous amount of creativity, professionalism and captured our wedding beautifully. All of our guests and wedding participants could not have had more positive comments to say about him, and we absolutely loved everything he did for us. Tony Valadez / Flashbox is the best Photographer in the DFW metroplex. Tony Photographed my wedding and engagement session. He got eveyone relaxed and smiling while he got the best shots. He's also got an eye for abstract photography which is what i like the most about his work. He is my number one preffered photographer.

We were very lucky to have received a recommendation for tony from our wedding site, The Legends of the Game Museum/The Ballpark in Arlington. From our initial meeting with tony we knew he was the one. He was very straightforward and honest about who he is and what he does, a great guy who takes some AMAZING pictures! I have been in 3 other weddings and have been photographed by 3 other wedding professionals. None can match tony's eye and his creativity. While other photographers take nice pictures, tony creates art. His background in magazines is apparent as you will come out looking like a model in a high fashion magazine rather than posing at your senior prom. If you are looking for gorgeous pictures to capture your once in a lifetime event...tony is the guy!

I'm really quite shocked at having to give such a poor review since I was confident that I hired such a highly recommended/talented photographer.
When I first contacted Tony through his website, I told him that we were on a budget so he gave me a number that I could live with. I told him about our engagement photographer's horror story and he sympathized. Our first meeting a month before the wedding went well. The three of us chatted for 2 hours. I told him that I need A LOT of direction, I'm no model! I tend to feel ackward in front of the camera. I told him the style that we wanted, pointed out a few shots that I liked from his portfolio etc. He even showed up for the rehearsal which I thought was nice. I thought he would get some great shots of the venue since it was a museum.
Things were running late before the ceremony and it started to rain a little so everything was a little scrambled. He took a ton of pictures of my MOH tieing up my corset and a few other details then went to the boys suite and took a bajillion pictures of them. One of the bridesmaids was running late but I wish Tony would have come back to take pictures of me and my girls.
After the ceremony, he took all of the formal shots. Since the wedding started late, my DH and I didn't get many alone shots unfortunately but I was kind of annoyed that he spent a lot of time getting "cool" shots of my DH and his bridal party. I literally had to say ok that's enough pictures, let's move on to US.
During the reception Tony seemed really great. I had to point a couple of times for him to see a good shot but overall, he was snapping away and he wasn't in the way at all.
He sent a couple of teaser pics through email and it was only a few weeks after the wedding when he sent a link to all of the pictures. Ok, I understand there are photographers who take pictures of one thing and there are 20 shots of the same thing. Well Tony decided that he filter out of the "bad" pictures and send me only the good ones. All of the pictures that he did take were very beautiful but I started noticing all of the things that he didn't take:
-No picture of Grandma and cousin walking down the aisle (her eyes were closed so he said it wasn't a good shot but sent it to me after I requested it. Why he didn't take more than one picture is beyond me)
-No picture of FIL & SMIL walking down the aisle (he just said that he just didn't like the picture but sent it after I requested it and it's actually cute)
-Just one picture of my oldest son (he had another picture that he sent after I requested it and I liked it more)
-No picture of my oldest son pulling a wagon with my youngest son and the flower girl in the same shot
-No picture of me actually looking up during my entrance, all of the pictures I'm looking down. (I did look down a lot because as soon as I stepped out, the dj & coordinator pointed down and whispered DO NOT TRIP OVER THIS so I was a little paranoid of tripping in the grass but I know I was making sure I looked up also. Why he wasn't snapping away to make sure he got plenty of shots?)
-No picture of my mom giving me away (he said that he had to go back down the aisle to get another camera and missed this VERY IMPORTANT opportunity. I'm so bummed about this)
-No picture of the entire bridal party standing while we read our vows
-The formal bridal picture he sent, the best man was pointing to DH. (It's a cute pic but he didn't have one where he's just standing there? Other guests took pictures off to the side where the best man wasn't pointing so I know it happened)
He also missed a couple of DIY details, I didn't think I would have to run him through my entire wedding and tell him hey don't forget this, don't forget that? I asked him why he didn't take any pictures of the venue and he said that if I told him he would have. Isn't that a common wedding detail?? During the reception, he took pictures of the same family members over and over and over. There are no pictures of our friends. There is no picture of my oldest son. There is no picture of the last dance. The last two pictures of us in the getaway car I look completely psychotic. Yes it's funny but there really isn't another of me waving to everyone??
I asked Tony for ALL of the pictures he took so I could make the decision of which to keep. He said that he never sends all of the pics and it would be $900. Then he sent another email saying there really aren't many other pictures that I would want so he went ahead and sent the dvd and said that he wouldn't accept the money even if I sent it. Funny that he thought I was going to give him another penny.
There's a couple of pictures that I would have wanted like my oldest son walking down the aisle but then I noticed that the number sequence jumps in several places-he deleted pictures. He also didn't send them all since they stop at a certain point during the formal poses. I asked him for a picture of the best man not pointing and he told me that he had already deleted all of the pictures off his camera. Great. I'm sure he'd find them if I sent him that $900. I also told him that it felt like I was pulling teeth to get the pictures that I had ALREADY PAID FOR.
I'm SO disappointed by this. I'm sure Tony is a great fashion photographer but I would swear that I hired at amateur to shoot my wedding. I feel like for whatever reason he did the bare minimum, he did not go beyond the typical shots and then missed some crutial things. Truly a ripoff and I'll never get this opportunity back.

Tony delivered far more than we agreed to in the contract. He came early and finished late, he did some special requests, and his shots are just amazing. Our wedding was fantanstic, everything went very smoothly and all our vendors performed well. That said, Tony outshone them all with his talent, professionalism, and we can't give him high enough scores. He's not cheap, but he is a bargain!

Tony was fantastic! He provides an outstanding quality of work, and is very easy to work with. He has an attention to detail that ensured that our shots came out amazing.

I would definitely recommend him to anyone planning a wedding!

Tony is absolutely wonderful. He did our engagement pictures and our wedding day pictures. We knew that our wedding pictures would be the only visible memories we would have for years to come of our wedding day and wanted the best photographer to capture our special day. Tony is very artistic in his photography and his pictures tell a story. He was money well spent and we are so lucky to have found him and that he was available for our wedding day. Our guests enjoyed Tony's company at the wedding and once our pictures were posted for viewing the compliments we received on our pictures from our guests were: "WOW", "Amazing", "Artistic", "Beautiful" and "Gorgeous". We feel the same way.

I cannot recommend Flashbox Photography enough, and I think thats an understatement! My husband and I did a destination wedding down in Mexico and Tony could not have been more flexible or agreeable. He made every single one of our request a reality. He's a photographer's photographer! I put more emphasis on photography than any other aspect of my wedding, bar none, and every single photograph I had planned out in my head Tony captured. He is willing to use his own creativity along with whatever requests you might have, and the outcome is fantastic. Tony was my photographer for my engagement session, bridal session and wedding. The thing I liked the most about Tony was his creativity. I was always comfortable during our sessions and Tony has alot of patience. He often went out of his way to accomodate us by helping with "save-the-dates (photo)", "guest sign-in albums", "thank you cards (photo)" and was always able to refer a vendor if needed! From day 1 Tony was amazing to work with. He was very flexible with the engagement and bridal sessions. Tony definitely has his own style of shooting but he is open to whatever you as the client wants. I wanted a few traditional and then the rest sexy:) and he did that for us. The day of the wedding was a blast and he was fun to work with. Our pictures are amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better photographer to work with.
