We went through Family Ties Catering for both our food and wedding cake. We had pulled pork sandwiches, roasted red potatoes, asparagus, and a spring salad for our food and strawberry cheesecake cupcakes for our wedding cake. The food was delicious. Everyone at the reception would not stop talking about how good the food was. And the cupcakes are to die for. They are some of the most delicous cupcakes I have ever had. It is unfortunate that the responsiveness, professionalism, and customer service were so poor. My husband and I didn't start having problems with this venue until a couple of weeks before our wedding. I emailed our caterer (Linda) three weeks before the wedding to confirm details and numbers for both the food and cake on May 23rd. I did not get a reply back so I resent the email and called her, but could not leave a message as her voicemail was full, on May 30th. I sent a desperate email to her on June 3rd and finally got a reply back on June 4th explaining that there has been a death in the family, that things have been hectic, and that we haven't been forgotten. No confirmation or anything. On June 6th I sent another desperate email (at this point I am freaking out a little wondering if my catering and cake is going to fall through right before the wedding) and on June 7th I received another email stating that I should have received an invoice but that she won't be back in town until monday. My wedding planners even attempted to call, email, and stopping by her office to see if Linda was in to see about getting a confirmation several times. I finally got an invoice from Linda on June 12th (about a week and a half before the wedding) with a very short sorry from her. At the wedding, not once did she come to apologize to my husband or I and she never once made eye contact with us. She did her job and her food was good, but her customer service was the worst and most stressful part of the whole wedding!

Sugar Rush Cupcakery has the most amazing cakes and cupcakes!! Linda created a beautiful tiered wedding cake, with a cake on top and tiers of cupcakes below. They make the most delicious cupcakes I have ever had and everyone loved them at the wedding. It was nice to be able to offer such a variety to our guests... and doing the tasting beforehand was fun too!

Amazing job on our cake! very creative and professional! i wish we would have went with this company for our catering as well.
