I am commenting from the mother of the bride's perspective.
I had all the confidence in the world the Cakewalk cake would be exceptional visually and in taste. And for that confidence the presentation and taste exceeded our expectations.
Alexis is an artist, but even better she listens to your wants and illustrates them in to delectable
treats... the guests at our reception were more than impressed with the presentation of the cake, but when they ate the cake, the comments kept coming. Many at our reception had never had different flavors to choose from, that was a surprise and delight, all were excellent!
Trust in the Cakewalk, and they will fulfill all your expectations and more!

Phenomenal cake! So much time and detail was put into the planning and design of the cake to match our reception theme and my wedding dress. Not only this, but the cake itself was wonderful and we received many compliments on the taste. Cakewalk was very flexible and accommodating throughout the process, very professional cake testing, she went through all our options and didn't pressure us into any decisions. I would recommend the Cakewalk to any future bride!

My wedding cake made by Alexis at CakeWalk was incredible!! Not only was it perfectly replicated from the picture I provided, but it was delicious, too! My wedding cake is the round, 3 tier white fondant with marzipan apples and chocolate vines posted on their site. Alexis took what I had been told from another baker was "too high an expectation" and "not possible" and skillfully created the most beautiful wedding cake I could have ever dreamed of! My husband said that the cake didn't even look real, it was that beautiful. Alexis was willing to work within my budget while not skimping on ANY of the details. She is also very personable, professional, and easy to talk with!! I will DEFINATELY be purchasing future cakes through CakeWalk. Hats off to Alexis and her team at CakeWalk!!!

We were trying to get a wedding planned from a distance and never had the opportunity to meet with Alexis in person. All arrangements were made over the phone or via e-mail, but Alexis was able to get a feel for our tastes and made a gorgeous cake for our wedding day. I would not change a thing, and it was well worth the cost. The cake was delicious and everyone at the reception kept commenting on how great it was. I would highly recommend Cakewalk!

Absolutely 100% delighted with my cake!
Alexis was fantastic in the process of planning my wedding - it was such a relief to know early on that everything was set and in place for the wedding cake! My other vendors (photographer, caterer, florist, etc) all asked who was doing my cake and as soon as I said Alexis at Cakewalk, they all gushed about her, so I knew I was getting a great cake.
At the reception, the cake was BEAUTIFUL and even prettier than I had imagined! I felt excited looking at it and I could hardly believe that this was the cake for MY wedding! When we tasted the cake, it was amazing! I tried both flavors (top tier chocolate, lower tier vanilla with raspberry buttercream) and they were both stellar. The frosting was amazing too- the buttercream had just the right amount of richness and sweetness. I never had a chance to come in for a tasting before the wedding (I booked Alexis purely on reputation) so I was so pleased how well everything turned out!
Alexis, thank you for making my reception such a beautiful, elegant, and delicious affair! I really felt like I treated my guests to the very best by serving your cake.

Alexis was extremely professional in her dealings with us - she responded in a short amount of time to our request and was both flexible and attentive to our prescribed parameters.
We would highly recommend her: our cake was beautiful, tasty and of tremendous value! She made cake shopping such a pleasure.

We visited Alexis last-minute after we received a recommendation from a foodie whose opinion we really respect. We thought we had already been to "the best" wedding cake maker in the area, but our friend assured us we should give Cake Walk a try, and that we would not be disappointed. Boy was he right! There is no comparison when it comes to the quality of ingredients Alexis uses, the simplicity yet creativity in her cakes and frostings! She choose fresh and organic ingredients (whenever possible) going so far as to grow herbs in her backyard! She has a wonderful variety of cakes and frostings -- it was so hard for us to decide! She made us a beautiful, simple butter cream cake that then had lemon, lavendar and spearamint in the upper layers! But the real boon was Alexis made a Guinness cake for the grooms cake-- that looked just like a huge pint class standing up! Amazing! But really, the bottom line is this: My fiance and I had been to too many weddings where the cake was lovely, but absolutely inedible. We didn't want that, and we are so happy we found Alexis. The fact that we had ZERO cake left over after the reception is a testament to how good they both tasted! If you want a cake that not only looks good but TASTES good, Cake Walk is the only place to go!

We had our wedding in a small town, and although there weren't very many vendors for cakes, Alexis at Cakewalk was superb. Although we had a small wedding, we still got to have a DELICIOUS 3-layer cake that disappeared immediately. Would definitely recommend!!!!

We received superb service from Alexis at Cakewalk for our wedding cake. Although we were last minute in booking and would not be in town before the wedding, she still worked with us to design a beautiful cake that was also within our budget. The cake itself was delicious and received many compliments. Alexis is obviously very talented and her professionalism makes her a pleasure to work with. If only we lived in the area so that we could find another excuse to order one of her delectable creations. We highly recommend her.

The professionalism, kindness and detail Alexis had to offer made the whole process of picking out a cake a "piece of cake"! She absolutely went above and beyond to make sure every little detail was exactly what we wanted and the combination of the flavors used in our cake were mouth watering! My Husband and I got rave reviews around the board for what an amazing job she did. We will absolutely use Cakewalk again for other occasions.

I would HIGHLY recommend Cakewalk to anyone! Not only were our two cakes unique and beautiful, they were the most delicious cakes that I have ever tasted! Every person who I have spoke with since the wedding asks who did our cakes and says they looked and tasted wonderful. My husband and I are seriously considering breaking into the cake that we have saved for our first anniversary and we have only been married just over a month. My mother is even considering having another cake made, just because! I cannot say enough to express how outstanding it was to work with Alexis. She was always very prompt in returning any emails or phone calls. She was also so creative in designing our wedding cake and in designing my husbands very strange request for a groom's cake! I don't have a single bad thing to say!

I'm the Mother of the Bride. We didn't think the cake that was included with our
package was all that great. I had saved an article on Alexis Davis from the South
Bend Tribune from several years back in anticipation of our last daughter's wedding.
So I called her. She's very professional and willing to do whatever you wish. There
was a big difference in the price - we only got a $300 credit for the cake we turned
down in the package but were so glad we had delicious cake as the food left a lot
to be desired at the reception. We had wonderful comments on the cake - it was
beautiful and delicious. I don't think you'll be sorry if you have Alexis make the cake
of your dreams. And, the Bride and Groom were happy too!
