Tracey Attlee is a former White House photographer who now specializes in photojournalistic, film style wedding photography and videography at city, country and beach weddings from Virginia and DC to Spring Lake, NJ and New York. She is assisted by award-winning professional architectural photographer Todd A. Smith, a retired US Marine. The two have teamed together to cover weddings, portraits and corporate events for 20 years.

You can book Tracey Attlee for wedding photography and videography on a package basis or á la carte. Tracey and Todd work together so smoothly it only makes sense to have them handle both your wedding photography and videography. Tracey will thoroughly plan your coverage with you in advance in writing. "Book with Tracey and relax," say her clients.

Attlee wedding imagery is an artistic blend of photojournalistic candids, classical film styles, beautiful light, color and composition. Lively candids, romantic portraits and cinematic still lifes are what to expect from Tracey Attlee.

Tracey begins her relationship with you by asking what your wedding plans, dreams and favorite shots include. Once you provide a timeline of basic events and the names of the groups and individuals you want covered, Tracey develops a customized filming schedule for your approval to be sure your requests are tracked and taken care of on the wedding day. Her attention to detail comes from her White House days and 30 years behind the lens at weddings. It puts her and Todd in the right place at the right time at your wedding, always unobtrusively.

Thanks to the influence of Tracey's treasured mentor Claire Flanders, a renowned French society photographer in DC known for expressive candids and compelling black and white images, Tracey Attlee's client base extends from Alexandria, Virginia to Washington DC to the Jersey shore to New York.

Tracey grew up in Spring Lake, NJ and returns frequently to the coast for engagements and weddings at private clubs and hotels by the sea. There she is recommended by Spring Lake Bath & Tennis Club, The Breakers Hotel on the Ocean, Spring Lake Golf Club.

Highly Recommended

I highly recommend Tracey Attlee photography. Mr and Mrs Attlee photographed my wedding and reception as a team, and delivered amazing photographs to us in only three weeks. They were a pleasure to have as part of the event and I will treasure the photographs forever.

We were married in Spring Lake in June 2013. Tracey is a fabulous photographer and a warm and caring person. Our wedding photographs are unbelievably beautiful. Sometimes I can't even believe that it's us in the photos. Tracey made my husband and I look so good!
She takes great pride in her work and it shows. Tracey was so very professional during all the months of preparation up to and including the day of our wedding. I was late getting back from the hair dresser and was extremely nervous. Tracey was in my home when I returned and was so sweet and caring. She calmed me down right away and took the most beautiful photographs of me getting ready with my Mother.
The ceremony took place outdoors and the photographs are just spectacular.
Family shots were done quickly with percision and turned out great.
The photos of the reception room, the floral centerpieces, the place cards and champagne flutes bring back the fondest memories.
Tracey is the only photographer we would ever hire. Photographs last a lifetime and we will forever remember every detail of our wedding day because of Tracey.

Choosing your wedding photographer can be a challenge because there is such a wide range of prices and offers. When planning my wedding, I knew I couldn't take any chances. Food and flowers come and go but pictures last a lifetime and I wanted to ensure my pictures were perfect. Working with Tacey Attlee was a pleasure from start to perfect finish. She took the time to understand the type of wedding I was planning and how I wanted it captured in pictures. She offered great suggestions but most importantly, she listened to my desires. We planned what shots were critical to me and which were "nice to have". At the wedding and reception, the photography was professional and unobtrusive. Best of all, the pictures look amazing.

Tracey takes time with her clients, previews the venues and gives a complete list of recommended photos. She and her partner did an amazing job of capturing our ceremony and evening without ever disturbing anyone. Also they were wonderfully patient with a few amateurs sneaking shots!

Let me start by saying, Wow! Tracey is awesome (so is Todd). Finding a wedding photographer is stressful and it's a big deal. This is the person you're trusting to capture one of the biggest events of your life. I didn't think it was possible, but I met someone who is even more of a perfectionist in her work than I am. Tracey is organized and methodical... the consummate professional. I mean, what else would you expect from a former White House photographer? We knew she had to be top notch. My husband and I liked her immediately upon meeting her. We were impressed with her work and it was reassuring that she'd done this so many times before.

Tracey took us through everything we needed in order to get ready for the wedding. She helped us build our list of photos in advance (including suggestions so we wouldn't forget anything important). She and Todd were right on time and ready to go for the event date. They were AWESOME (I might have mentioned that already). Their photos were 1) well composed, 2) complete, 3) varied in emotion/action - humorous, romantic, energetic, intimate, joyous, etc. I don't believe that Tracey or Todd missed capturing a single moment of our event. We're still enjoying flipping through the photos from the event and my husband and I say, "Wow, look at that one; that one is great; I love that one" on just about every shot.

An added bonus was that since I saw Tracey & Todd first before the fray of the rest of the wedding, they were calming and chilled me out so that I was able to enjoy my own event that much more.

I also liked that my friends and family could purchase gift certificates with Tracey for photography services/albums. That was great since we wanted good photography more than grapefruit spoons. ;-)

I would HIGHLY recommend Tracey Attlee (& Todd) as photographers for any event. You won't be disappointed.

Tracey & Todd were wonderful! They were very responsive and went out of their way to make us comfortable and at ease! They were not cheap, but you get what you pay for! I would highly recommend them!

As a father of the bride who loves photography, I was very impressed by the quality of her images and Tracey's ability to capture the whole event even while still being remarkably unobtrusive. Better yet, my daughter, the bride, loved the results and felt that Tracey had truly captured the moment many times over. We could not have been more pleased with Tracey's approach and photography. I can recommend her work without hesitation.

We loved working with Tracey and Todd for our wedding photography. They are easy to work with, creative, a good team, well-prepared and attentive to our needs and requests. They scouted our off-site photo location suggestions and narrowed it down to one that would allow us to maximize our photo time and not sit in traffic. We discussed the off-site photos in advance as well as other wedding details. Tracey was always timely and thorough in her responses. On the day of the wedding, Tracey and Todd arrived promptly and went right to work! They are flexible with delays (like when we had to push back the "Reveal" shot because I was still getting into my gown), but they did work well in adhering to timelines and shot lists that we went over before the wedding. Both Tracey and Todd have very pleasant personalities and I like that they give you suggestions on how to stand and position yourself so that the photos look good. They covered a lot of ground because there were two of them working on my wedding day. Also, my day-of-wedding coordinator said it was very nice to work with Tracey. I am thankful for all their hard work and would highly recommend Tracey. I have used her services twice before, and I am sure I will enlist her help again in the future.

Don't choose your wedding photographer until you speak with Tracey! She'll provide the high level of service that you are looking for.

I hired Tracey before I was even engaged! I was so impressed by the quality of her work and her professionalism I knew I did not have to search any further.

Her attention to detail and skill for capturing candid moments were the reasons I chose her as my photographer. My pictures were absolutely beautiful! Her and her husband even visited the site a few days before to scope out ideal spots to take pictures. LOVE LOVE LOVE her!!

She even provided us a schedule for the day of for everyone to follow. She was by far my favorite vendor to work with.
