Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
Our main service is the retouching on EVERY image you receive. Not just your album photos or enlargements. Every single one. Our black and white conversions are done free of charge in every single package. Naturally, we don't mind doing individual sepia tones, cross processing, hand colorings, or even paintings of your faves.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
We have done hundreds of weddings in every conceivable lighting condition. We also bring along several professional lighting systems, just in case!
Is your media preference film or digital?
We use all digital equipment. The reason being, we can totally manipulate the photo to make it look like it is straight out of a bridal magazine, and get them to you quickly.
How many photographers do you work with?
We shoot with a two photographer approach. On many occassions, we use three.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, we will be there. Not an apprentice. Not a sub.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We never book more than one wedding a day. In fact, to do the quality job we need to do for our clients, we try not to do more than 3 weddings a month.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, we are a member of more than one emergency networks.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
The equipment is really too numerous to name. We each have our main cameras, and two back ups (each-That is nine cameras minimum). Every lens conceivable, numerous lighting systems. We figure it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, always. We have back ups for the back ups.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
We charge a full day rate. We come as you get ready and leave when we can't see the tail lights on the limo anymore.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
We don't charge for overtime. Your story told completely is more important to us.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Break? Do we get those?
Do you charge for travel?
Yes, we charge for travel. Normal gas/plane fare is fine, and a hotel of your chosing. That is all we ask.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
It ranges on the time of season, but normally between one and three weeks. Whatever it takes to make your photos the most special and memorable.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Your proofs are uploaded to Collages.net, so that you can share with friends from any computer. You also recieve a nice album with the DVD of images included.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The gallery stays online for 60 days. The DVD you get, you keep forever.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
All photographers retain copyrights (it's the nature of copyright), however we give you unlimited print rights on all the images.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes. We retain the rights to use the images for promotion, or use for magazines. The bride and groom will always be asked if it is alright with them.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, you get FULL RESOLUTION images on disc. Not 4x6. Not unedited. Not color only. You get full sized images that you can print as large as you like, in color and black and white, with individual retouching on every image.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes, we use Collages.net.
What kind of albums do you offer?
We offer everything from Coffee Table Albums, Engagement Albums, Flushmounts, Canvas Art Wraps, Metallic Prints, High End cards......... If you can think of it, we have it. In every color offered.
When will the client get the final album?
It depends on the book. Some are made locally, and some as far as Italy. You should expect the book to take about 4-6 weeks for the actual book
