Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I custom-tone every image so that it's perfect, just the way I wanted it to look when I shot it. But I'm not doing any hand-coloring of prints or cheesy tricks like giving you a B&W photo with your bouquet in color.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I can shoot in any situation, and I can light anything.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I'm digital only.
How many photographers do you work with?
I do all the shooting, and my wife works with me to help with lighting. She will sometimes shoot a little bit, but mostly it's just me.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Never. I want to give my full attention to my clients, and won't take the chance that I could get held up shooting something else when I'm supposed to be at your celebration.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I don't require a meal, but it's darned nice if you feed me and that way I won't faint during the reception. Generally the only time I'm not shooting is when your guests are eating, so that's a good time to feed me & my assistant.
Do you charge for travel?
Yes, for faraway places. In the DC-Baltimore area most travel is covered.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes.
