Frequently Asked Questions for Photography
How many photographers do you work with?
95% of the time, it will just be the two of us. On a rare occasion, we may have an assistant.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Clients will have both Ben and Amy Starks present and photographing their scheduled event. We always work together.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
While we may book more than one wedding in a weekend, we never schedule more than one wedding in a day. If a client books us for a date, they are our main focus for the entire day!
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
We have a couple of amazing photographer friends who we trust to help us out if an emergency situation arose.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
We use Canon professional camera bodies and lenses. Depending on the location, we have lighting equipment that we can bring along as well.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Aside from the two cameras we have on us, we have a back-up body in the event of an equipment disaster.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel expenses are included in pricing for the central Florida area (anywhere within a thirty minute drive from Apopka). Additional travel charges vary depending on the location destination outside of that region. Contact us for a price quote.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Starks Photography offers shared copyright privileges to our clients. Clients will receive their images on a DVD, and be given permission to utilize the images however they so choose.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Our clients receive digital files (on a DVD) from any session or event.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes. Clients' images will be uploaded into a password-protected online proofing gallery, and remain in the gallery for up to 6 months after the event.

What's the best way to get in touch with you?
One word: e-mail. We utilize our photography e-mail account (found on our contact page) for all things business, and we check it every day. Sometimes it's difficult to reach us by phone due to our hectic schedules, so we recommend shooting over an e-mail first. Are your wedding packages customizable? We offer three packages at different prices (attempting to cover a wide range of budgets), so clients usually stick to what is included within each. However, we realize that no two clients are alike, so we are totally willing to customize a package to meet specific individual needs. We provide an array of additional options to choose from, allowing clients to personalize their desired package. Do you offer engagement sessions with all of your wedding packages? Absolutely. We truly believe that including engagement sessions allows us to gain a better understanding of our clients before their big day.
