South Seas in Captiva offers incredible event spaces to choose from. With such a choice at their disposal, couples can easily organize the big day of their dreams. They can choose to exchange vows on the beach, with their feet in the sand as well-wishers look on. Due to the venue’s near year-round sunshine, an outdoor reception can be enjoyed into the night. The venue’s most spacious setting, the East Lawn can comfortably welcome up to 500 party-goers. The Bayview Lawn is a complex located within the property itself, and can host receptions up to 250 attendees. The complex features outdoor areas such as the Harbourside Patio, East Lawn and more. There are also several marinas available for those who would like to celebrate with yacht-club style elegance. The venue comes with a range of furniture options, and there is ample parking as well as space for boats.

Amazing venue that always leaves couple totally thrilled. We always have a great experience at South Seas and the couples always rave to us about how great the property is!
South Seas is one of the premier destination wedding spots in Florida and probably the world…. seriously. That sounds like a bold statement but it's not without substance. Firstly, South Seas, boasts a location to die for. It has several first class choices of wedding venues, from the lawns to the beaches. It is located at the end of Captiva Island,(no through traffic) in a private, gated, setting. The Resort is surrounded by lush greenery and tropical landscaping. There are unbelievable views overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, the back bay and the marina. The ultimate accommodations at 'Lands End' have spectacular views across Redfish Pass which is not only beautiful but a world renowned fishing spot. Other activities include: golf, swimming, tennis and sailing. There are several pools on the resort including a large luxurious pool with cabanas and chair side service. The kiddies pool and cool slide is conveniently located out of earshot:) There are several first class restaurants on and around the resort. From a photographers standpoint; South Seas is a gem of a resort. Photographically, there is plenty of variety, from the candy store to the beaches, from the lawn areas to the marina. It really has a bit of everything. Did you know that it also is the only place on Sanibel and Captiva that you can photograph into the sun and away from the sun and still have water behind you? South Seas has a well equipped marina and a trip to the resort without a sunset cruise would be sacrilege. (incidentally you can have a wedding or rehearsal dinner catered, aboard one of the classic looking river boats) The wedding staff at the resort are both friendly and very professional, I would highly recommend letting them guide you through the wedding planning process to make your day as seamless as possible.
