We interviewed several to officiate our wedding and we found an amazing gem. Leigh Ann Phillips-Knope gave us each a questionnaire which we made us dig deep into our relationship. She then took our answers and crafted a very personalized ceremony which we then got to review. We had so many compliments at the wedding about the ceremony. Her words were touching and memorable. When searching for someone to conduct our wedding, it was very important to us that the ceremony was unique and reflected our personalities. Too often we've attended ceremonies that were dull and scripted, and we promised ourselves and our guests this wouldn't be the case.

The process that Leigh Ann used to design our one-of-a-kind ceremony is extremely creative and expressed us and all of our emotions perfectly. Not only did she create our individual love story, but she told it from both of our perspectives, which allowed our family and friends the opportunity to fully understand our love. Leigh Ann is just so wonderful. She is caring, thoughtful and, genuine. Her ceremony was moving and passionate. My family and friends are still talking about it. My sister asked me, "Can the two of you get married again? Cuz that was the best wedding we have ever been too." Leigh Ann has a well established process of getting to know you and your significant other in such a way that she gets to know the real you without taking a life time to get to know you. We loved how personal our ceremony was. We were so used to cookie cutter weddings. Ours was unique to our story.

Liegh-ann was so awesome. Some members of our family are pretty conservative so we weren't sure how they'd react to a more personal ceremony. Many many people told us after that it was the best ceremony they had ever been too. Our parents really loved it too. Also we had to change our venue the day before due to a power outage and she was such an important calming presence amongst some of the chaos.

Leigh Ann was a great match for us as we really wanted an officiant who took the time to understand and appreciate us as a couple. She provided gentle and honest feedback as we crafted our ceremony and truly captured the spirit of our relationship on the day of our wedding through her sincere and heartfelt presentation. We feel very fortunate to have worked with Leigh Ann and would happily recommend her to others.

My wife and I interviewed a half-dozen officiants before we were lucky enough to meet Leigh Ann and Kim of Roots of Change. Upon meeting them, you immediately feel their love for each other. This passion towards each other directly translates to their love of officiating. In our experience, Leigh Ann wrote the ceremony while Kim attended the wedding to deliver a witty, funny, serious and heart-felt experience to all whom attended.

Throughout the process of creating the ceremony, both Kim and Leigh Ann were professional and responsive. They kept us on schedule without being pushy. Their questionnaire really helps to get the process started and we do recommend not cheating by looking at each other’s answers. The result of this effort was a better ceremony then either of us imagined.

The flow of the ceremony was also amazing. Leigh Ann and Kim were able to incorporate a multitude of events (i.e sand ceremony, mother speeches, remembrance candle, etc) while maintaining an upbeat and seamless event. Kim was even able to incorporate a family member who passed away the day before into the ceremony.

Lastly, although I could continue the praise for pages, Leigh Ann and Kim’s summary of our Love Story was not only great for our attendees but heart felt by us. Leigh Ann and Kim create an unbelievably personal ceremony towards your specific wants and needs. They balance giving this creative freedom to the couple while using their experience to make it all work together at your once in a lifetime event.

When my now husband and I were looking into a wedding ceremony we were first sucked into the whole circus aspect worrying about the venue and the flowers and the lights and...etc. We knew that only a few things were really important to us (my engagement ring, my dress, the music, and our officiant), however we played the game to start until we realized it was not us. So we cancelled the original venue and trappings and focused on what was important. I give this intro so that I can say how wonderful Leigh Ann was in every aspect. Through the planning stages she asked us many questions and listened carefully to our answers. She tailored the ceremony for us, addressing our needs and wishes. Our simple ceremony with no flowers other than my silk flower bouquet and my sister and maid-of-honor's bouquet, no decorations, and only two people in our wedding party is one our family and friends still talk about. The ceremony was so original with touches even the chapel had never seen before. We even have wishing stones that were part of the ceremony in our home to enjoy forever.

Leigh Ann's help made our wedding truly a day to remember. We still pull out our hard copy of our ceremony to enjoy it. We cannot thank her enough for all her work and care in crafting the verbiage of our day into something no one involved will ever forget. Our simple venue and celebration is the ceremony of a lifetime.
