What officiant services do you provide?
Civil Union, Interfaith Ceremony, Non-religious Ceremony, Same Sex
What religious affiliations do you serve?
Agnostic, Christian (no denomination)
Can you accommodate the hearing impaired?
No
Are you willing to perform a ceremony at a non-religious site?
Yes. Absolutely. In fact, the majority of my ceremonies occur at non-religious sites: large reception venues, private homes, parks, on the beach. You tell me where your ceremony will be held, I'll be there.
What is your attire for the ceremony?
I always wear a suit but also have a black cleric's robe for those occasions when a couple requests that I wear it.
Are you flexible in the wording used throughout the ceremony, including the vows?
150% flexible. I encourage couples to present their ideas to me of their vision for the ceremony. I hate to use the proverbial "think outside the box" phrase, but when my couples do that, we come up with some very unique ideas to include in the ceremony.
Do you allow the couple to write their own vows, if desired?
Yes, I encourage personalization of vows for those couples who feel they can do it. This is a very difficult task for many couples, but personal vows add another level of intimacy to the ceremony.
Do you have a list of readings pre-selected, from which the couple must choose?
I have a list of readings I provide but encourage couples to explore everything that's out there - and they do. I'm always surprised by some of the readings that couples include in their ceremonies and I incorporate many of them into my list.
How long are your ceremonies?
Generally, my ceremonies last from 15 - 25 minutes.
Do you require that premarital counseling be done?
No.
Are you willing to perform pre-ceremony rehearsals?
Yes and I almost always attend the rehearsal. This gives me a chance to spend time with the couple before their wedding as well as meet the bridal party, parents, families and friends.
Do you supply a sound system?
No.
