When we starting wedding planning, we knew we wanted to invest in a great photographer - Richard surpassed our expectations and we are just blown away by the photos he was able to capture. Along with his talented photography, he makes you feel extremely comfortable and provides just the right amount of guidance to keep photos natural while still getting the best shot. On top of that, he got us our photos in just a few weeks - all 1700! And we love every single one.

Richard was absolutely amazing! We had a surprise wedding planned, and had a few requests where he was "in hiding" as well as less staged and more natural in the moment pictures. He captured everything and more, perfectly. Richard was an absolute pleasure to work with, went over and above on our requests and was a lot of fun! He had some great ideas on the day of options for additional pictures that we didnt even think of. Crazy talented photographer which I now use commercially and will absolutely be recommending to everyone!

My husband and I hired Richard Barlow to capture our wedding in August and he was an absolute dream to work with! He weathered the August heat like a champ, captured every special moment for 10 hours without a single complaint, and helped keep our wedding party on schedule. I don’t even know where to begin with describing how great of a photographer and person Richard is. Our relationship began in 2011 when Richard took my high school senior photos…fast forward to college senior photos, engagement photos, bridal boudoir photos and finally our wedding photos. His work is spectacular! Richard is patient, kind, funny, and makes the time spent with you taking pictures a great experience. I could go on forever about the high quality of his work and his personal attributes but I will leave it at this…I wouldn’t have chosen any other person to capture these special milestones in my life.

Working with Richard was hands down one of the easiest parts of my wedding process. Our package included two sessions (we chose engagement + day of) and an album with prints of our choice from the big day. Richard was super flexible with the planning process; brought great ideas to the table and went above and beyond our expectations. Due to COVID, timelines got pushed but he remained flexible given the circumstances and everyone absolutely loved him when the big day finally arrived! He wasted no time, captured great shots, and was a genuine pleasure to be around -- like having a friend behind the lens! I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a stress-free photographer -- my only regret is that I won't get to hang out with him again now that it's all behind us! (Until my next trip back to NC that is)

He is the best! Literally love every photo him and his second photographer, Kate, took at our wedding! He flew all the way to RI for our wedding and captured so many beautiful moments that we will cherish forever!

We booked Richard as our photographer without even meeting him first, because we trusted the judgement of our wedding planner, Nicole at Premier Party Planners. Our wedding date was set for May 8, 2020 and was originally supposed to be a big event at Chatham Station with about 180 guests. That obviously couldn’t happen but we didn’t want to wait to get married. We decided to do a very small ceremony with less than 10 people at home in our backyard. Richard and Nicole still agreed to come and be a part of our day. Richard was amazing. The pictures turned out even better than I could have imagined. He was professional, polite, easy-going, and has a great eye for getting the best photos. It even rained on our wedding day and Richard pulled up the radar on his phone and found us a 30 minute window to get some pictures without rain. The day wouldn’t have been the same if we didn’t have the photos Richard took to look back on. I cannot recommend him enough!

Richard is the best photographer we have ever seen. His pictures are so beautiful and professional, there is really no comparison. He made our wedding day so fun, and even though it was 1000 degrees outside, we knew we were in the best hands and he would make sure our pictures were the most beautiful. He really takes pride in finding the best lighting, angles, real estate on the property, and captures so many moments to make them ever lasting memories. From the first looks, to the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception, to candid shots, portraits, he absolutely nails every shot.
