; "We created a wedding cake for the Knot industry party last week at McCloons Pier House in Long Branch, NJ. The party was hosted by Pampered Brides Weddings and featured several other vendors including Linda Casals from Rose Petals, and Suzanne from CLB Photography who took the photos below.
The theme was a Mediterranean fete - so we created a sugarpaste and crystal Mosaic complete with crystal “K” topper!")
; "This seven tiered stand was perfect for this wedding - taking place on 7.7.07 at the Ritz Carlton in Battery Park. The two tier top cake featured a Swavorski crystal monogram, flowers and butterflies, all by Very Different Cakes - as well as a whole ‘garden’ of hand-made sugar roses and orchids. Each cupcake was adorned with a sugar rosebud.
We built the stand to resemble a tiered wedding cake - rather than our regular cupcake stands whose tiers are proportionally sloped. The bottom of the stand was finished with an Ivory satin bow and crystal flower center. The cupcakes were an assortment of vanilla and chocolate with vanilla and chocolate buttercream icing.")
; "We received some wonderful photos from the bride of a recent wedding where we provided cupcakes and our 6 tier cupcake tower. The gorgeous photos were taken by Autumn Lin Photography who has studios in both New York City and New Jersey.")
; "When the bride and groom came in for their tasting, they explained that the setting for their wedding was in the bride’s parents backyard, under a big white tent. Her mother’s beautiful blooming garden was to be the main adornment for the location. They were interested in a cake with whimsical fresh florals. The couple also brought along a photo of cake they found in a magazine (created by Ron Ben-Israel cakes) that had delicate silver details along the bottom of each tier.
We created this four tier wedding cake and created a similar detail along the bottom of each tier in a powder blue per the bride’s request. Then to mimic the garden, we created sugar paste peonies, roses, sweet peas, lisianthus buds and larkspur to ‘grow’ from this cake. We incorporated vibrant pinks, blues, green and white and even a few sugar butterflies. The first three tiers are vanilla cake with hazelnut and raspberry chambord fillings. The top tier is chocolate cake with oreos and cream filling.")
