Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
We offer black and white, color, collages, sepia tone, hand coloring and retouching.
Is your media preference film or digital?
We use mostly digital, but can also do film when applicable.
How many photographers do you work with?
I will be your main photographer. Upon request, I also work with a second shooter to get more of a variety of shots and perspectives.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, my presence is guaranteed. If for some reason, I can't make it, in extreme unforeseen emergencies, I can refer another professional photographer that is more than capable to do the job.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I only book one wedding a weekend. I want to be present for only YOU.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I shoot with 2 digital cameras, pack a back up digital camera, plus a 35 mm film camera as another back up. I pack flash, and bounce attachments to soften the look of my shots. I have many SD cards, as a backup, as well. I also carry tripods, as needed in certain conditions.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I have hourly rates for custom-made packages. I also have full coverage rates and packages. Let us know what you need!
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
If the job is more than 4 hours, I require a bathroom break, and a meal break (20-30 minutes). We eat, when you eat. But of course if an important activity is happening, we're shooting!
Do you charge for travel?
If over 20 mile radius, from Downtown L.A., we charge $1/mile.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Should be ready within 7-10 days, depending on how many images. I usually do a quick retouching to each image.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
We offer online proofing. We offer proof prints, upon request, if you have no access to Internet.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The online proofing is available for 2 months. We offer discounts on purchasing if made within first month.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I retain the copyrights to all my photos. I would love to use some of your best shots to refresh my web portfolio. We offer the your photos on a disk, released to you for personal reproduction use (archiving, emailing, posting on your personal website, printing). Reproduction use does not include selling images, or entering in competition. This is all covered in the contract.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
I reserve the right to publish photos. But if you are totally against it being posted on our website, I will honor that.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
We provide digital files to the couple, if a package with an album or photo book was purchased. We give those files after the online proofing period, and when the album is delivered.If a package was not purchased, we do offer files for purchase.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes. You can view, share with family and friends, and purchase prints and enlargements on this online gallery.
What kind of albums do you offer?
We offer bookstore quality photo books (for the budget conscious that want a stylish, affordable album), and flush mount, magazine style (also known as "coffee table book" albums that are elegant and unique (custom covers, with your names and date embossed/stamped). You can edit 3 times, without charge. All albums are unique to the client. We do not use generic templates.
When will the client get the final album?
Once you order your book, and finalize by approving the pages, it takes anywhere from 6-8weeks, depending on the print and bind company we use. We will be in constant communication with your about when we expect the album to be delivered to you. Upon arrival of your album, you will also receive a proof book and a proof CD, along with a reproduction release.
