Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
Sepia, color, black and white, black and white with spot, double exposure, and the ability to predict emotional and exciting moments before they happen.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
With 15 years experience and having studied the physics of lighting from the late Dean Collins, we have experienced every lighting situation using both film and digital cameras. We have developed the ability to use minimal flash by using available surfaces to reflect light as well as available light and no flash.
Is your media preference film or digital?
We use state of the art, high end, professional photography equipment with Canon's line of professional L series lenses.
How many photographers do you work with?
1-2 depending on the size and location of the wedding.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes. Neil or Shannon will be one of the main photographers and are flexible with any of your requests.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
We book only one wedding a day in order to provide you with one on one personal service and be fully dedicated to your day.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes. Neil and Shannon back each other up or an associate photographer can be sent if needed.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Camera bag with Canon's 1D Mark 3 series camera bodies, a variety of L series lenses with image stabilizer, multiple canon flashes, external battery packs, and several impact resistant flash cards.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Absolutely! Our system contains a triple redundancy system.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Full day...we charge per event only, never per hour.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Due to the excitement and adrenaline rush, we don't usually take breaks, except during dinner when the bride and groom are also eating.
Do you charge for travel?
Yes, depending on the location. Typically for travel over 1 1/2 hours from our studio.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Between 2-3 weeks
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Choice of proof magazine or 3 Cinematic DVD Slide Shows with music.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The magazine or slide shows are your to keep.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Most of our investment packages come with a High Resolution Negative DVD which includes shared copyright. We want you to have the liberty to make copies and prints for yourself.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes, for at least 3 months.
What kind of albums do you offer?
State of the art, contemporary, Coffee Table, Flush Mount, and Storybook albums. Our albums are made by the finest album binders from Italy to the US.
When will the client get the final album?
6-8 weeks from the time the design process begins to when you receive the album and depending on the type of album chosen.
