Describe your DJ style:
Professional, entertaining, not over-the-top.
What is your usual attire?
Sportscoat, dress slacks, dress shirt, and tie. We do not wear tuxes, as we are not part of the wedding party. The groom should be the best dressed man in the room. We'll be the 2nd best dressed. It is YOUR night.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
If you give us THREE weeks notice, we can get whatever music you need. If you think of something last minute, you are more than able to bring a CD or loaded MP3 to your reception. We are very flexible.
How many other DJs do you work with?
Typically we work alone, but on some occassions we are in pairs.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
We work on UNLIMITED time!
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Yes, but considering over 90-percent of our business comes from referrals, they have usually already met us.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
We have done Brazilian, Greek, and Spanish wedding receptions. We are more than willing to pick up ethnic music upon request.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Absolutely.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
If requested, yes...but keep in mind this is a wedding reception and not a rave. Grandma's usually don't like laser lights in their eyes or fog choking them out.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
One hour for set up is perfect. Yes, please provide your DJ with a 6 or 8 foot table.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
Give us 4 feet behind the DJ table and we are good to go!
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
You choosed the amount of interaction you would like. If You choose an "active" DJ, your DJ will be entertaining, professional, and not over-the-top.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Meal is not required, but is very appreciated. Considering we are there for UNLIMITED time, it makes your DJ very happy to be able to eat.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
We don't take breaks.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Always a back-up DJ on standby, but in 10 years of business have never had to use one. We underbook by one event each week just in case the occassion ever arises.
What is your overtime rate?
We are UNLIMITED time! No overtime rate!
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
There is a small fee for any event more than 35 miles from Indianapolis...the fee grows as we get further away.
