- James is our Fearless Leader.  He sings like Smokey Robinson and beats the drums like an Indian...Oh my gosh, could that be because he is an Indian??  Yep, pure Native American Indian from the Santa Ysabel tribe of Mission Indians right here in San Diego county (Iipay Nation).  We call him "Chief Run-Amuck". 

- The guitar wizard is none other than our very own Mr. Blayne who provides tasty guitar riffs, vocals, words of wisdom, jokes; a true legend in his own mind.

- Next I'll introduce the incredible Professor Marty.  His Hammond organ and Fender Rhodes electric piano are the "guts" of our sound that let you know we're a real Old School R&B soul band.

- And then there's Teresa, our band babe:  Long legs, High heels, and a Rhinestone covered guitar strap.  This is no simple chick singer, she's also the root of the rhythm section...grooving her booty whilst driving the musical bottom with her soulful bass guitar and simultaneously belting out lead vocals like she means every word of it.  

 

All together, we four are a festive party band playing 60's/70's/80's Motown, R&B, Rock & Soul hit songs.  Audiences say we play "the good stuff".  People know the words to our songs, and we see your grins as happy old memories wash over the crowd.  

 

Our lineup of dual-duty musicians is the fullest sound you can get with a 4-piece band because one girl and three guys sing and simultaneously play their guitar/keyboards/bass/drums.  We can offer you a moderate price for a big-sounding band because all four of us do two jobs.  You pay four musicians and feel the pulse of eight live musicians (we never use canned pre-recorded tracks).

 

We bring our own colored lights to complete the "look" of our professional stage show.  Our rhythmically pulsing light show and brightly colored stage costumes are reminiscent of the Motown/R&B groups who originally recorded these hit tunes.  MoonDance not only sounds good and feels good, we look good too!!  (shouldn't the entertainers dress flashier than the audience?)  If your event has a theme or color scheme, we happily alter our look to fit.  We have snazzy stage uniforms in: red, royal blue, turquoise, purple, green, white, black, and silver.  If your event is very casual, we can wear band logo tee shirts (in red or black) over jeans/shorts.  Have a different theme in mind?  With some lead time and some extra money, we're happy to buy new costumes for your event.  Just let us know what you want...you're the boss.
