This band is so good, it’s ridiculous!

Outrageous jazz, swing, Motown, R&B, soul, funk and big band for
sophisticated clients and their unique weddings!

los angeles wedding singers

Renowned jazz/swing/R&B singer singer Judy Chamberlain and her bands play R&B, soul, funk, cowboy & big band swing and jazz. They're a modern-day Rat Pack with Old Hollywood glamour and a decidedly modern twist.

“Jazz singer Judy Chamberlain solidly affirms the music’s far-reaching, continuing vitality and the pleasures of jazz as entertainment. "Don Heckman, Los Angeles Times

Our musicians are internationally recognized. You've heard them on your favorite albums and seen them on many popular TV shows. Some are Grammy winners.

Our musicians have toured and recorded with Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Peggy Lee, Rosemary Clooney, Dinah Shore, The Temptations, The Commodores, The Supremes, The Platters, The Drifters, The Coasters, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Gloria Gaynor, Donna Summer, Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers, Herbie Hancock, Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Bette Midler, Diana Krall, Natalie Cole, Barbra Streisand, Norah Jones, Elvis, Chuck Berry and Michael Buble, to name just a few.

We play the glamorous, romantic and exciting music of the 1920's, 1930's, 1940's, 1950's, 1960's and 1970's. Think Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Rogers & Hart, Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, Louis Armstrong, Elvis, The Beatles, Michael Buble, Harry Connick, Jr. and Mad Men and you pretty much have the picture. Bands like ours don't really exist anymore, except perhaps in the movies.

"Chamberlain’s easygoing interaction with her listeners transforms celebrations into marvelously spontaneous events.” Don Heckman, Los Angeles Times

We're small enough to fit in a telephone booth, but prefer larger spaces whenever possible. We navigate parking lots, loading docks and site managers gracefully. We respect confidentiality, exclusive private estates, hotels, country clubs, event coordinators and party planners. Long-distance planning for destination and celebrity weddings is a specialty, and we often get the “first call" before the date has been set or the venue booked. In our hands and through the magic of live music, your entire wedding becomes a seamlessly-orchestrated Hollywood extravaganza.

It's no coincidence that many of our clients are entertainers themselves.

I don't know how she recalls this stuff, because she's too young." Al Rudis, Long Beach Press Telegram

“You’re just like the ‘Old Man,’ cookie.” Al Viola, longtime guitarist for Frank Sinatra

Stylish interpreters of the Great American Songbook, we play the music popularized by Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, The Mills Brothers, The Boswell Sisters, Peggy Lee, Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Nat King Cole, Sarah Vaughan, Tony Bennett, Dinah Washington, Dean Martin, Louis Prima, The Platters, Bobby Darin, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Bob Wills, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Paul Anka, The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, The Doors, The Eagles, The Mamas and the Papas, The Beach Boys, Karen Carpenter, Astrud Gilberto, Nina Simone, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, Gloria Gaynor, Donna Summer, Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand, Natalie Cole, Diana Krall, Michael Buble and many more.

If Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Rogers & Hart, Rogers & Hammerstein, George & Ira Gershwin, Johnny Mandel, Johnny Mercer, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Harold Arlen or Hoagy Carmichael wrote it, you can bet it's in our bottomless repertoire! We also adore anything associated with Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers, Gene Kelly, Audrey Hepburn and cinema noir movies, and play all of that music, too! ALL of it!

A fourth-generation musician and native New Yorker named "one of the top jazz singers of all time" by author Scott Yanow, journalist and music historian Judy Chamberlain has been featured on E! Entertainment, The Style Network, ABC’s “The Bachelor” and in The Playboy Jazz Festival.

Guests at weddings and events often think they're listening to a CD until they make their way through the crowd, look up at the stage and realize we're a live band.

"Hi from Toronto...you were awesome in Palm Springs, one of the best in the biz!" Naz Melconian, Videographer

Judy Chamberlain sings 'At Last' better than Etta James." Shari Lightstone, Phoenix, AZ

Judy and her band are extraordinary! She was non stop entertainment from our ceremony to our reception. She is the best at what she does. When talking to Judy, it was like talking to a long lost friend. She knew exactly what I wanted and we actually spent hours on the phone. She even found, practiced, and performed an old chinese tune that had a lot of meaning to my parents and I. My husband I cannot thank Judy and her band enough. I was also worried that no one would dance during the reception, but she really got the crowd going. Even my 87 year old grandmother got on the dance floor and boogied. I am so happy to have found Judy and she really made the entire event memorable for everyone who attended the wedding. She went out of her way to coordinate with all my vendors to make sure everything went without a hitch. For all future big events I will definitely give Judy a call. For all those who are looking for a truly entertaining band with class and personality, give Judy a call.

For any Bride and Groom reading this endorsement: I am Rev. Michael, and over the past decade I have Officiate thousands of Wedding Ceremonies, and without a doubt the most memorable and enjoyable Ceremony I ever Officiated used Judy Chamberlain and her ensemble for both their Ceremony and their reception. Versus disk jockeys and string quartets, Judy outshines them all. She offers all types of music from rock to swing. After the Ceremony, I heard so many compliments from the guests as to what a treat it was not to have the typical disk jockey music. The Bride also told me how Judy gave she and her husband to be so many tips and guidance to make their Ceremony and reception an event to remember. Judy exudes the touch professionalism that I rarely, if ever, encounter. You would be remiss in not at least calling Judy to find out for yourself.
