Head Games with such a special part of my wedding weekend. Having all my girls together the day before the wedding to get our nails done was so perfect. The staff was really nice about letting us have the space to mingle, and also making sure that everybody got in for their manis or pedis. For me especially, Sarah was just amazing. She took care of my hair and nails for the wedding, and I feel like I made a friend during my time working with her. She reminded me to treat myself, and how special of the day really was. The salon is laid back, comfortable, and a great place to hang out (did I mention they offer beer, wine and cocktails?!?). Thank you!!

I had my bridal hair and makeup done by Maureen at Head Games (I am a regular client of hers), and both my hair and makeup were AMAZING!!!!! I got compliments on my hair from many of our guests, and both mothers insisted on taking tons of pictures of my hair :-). I have naturally kind of oily skin, and was nervous that my makeup would be shiny by the time our ceremony took place (got makeup done at noon, ceremony at 4), but the makeup felt light and fresh and non-oily all night long! Head Games is a wonderful salon, and they always go out of their way to cater to the client – my wedding day was no exception. They offer you complimentary tea, wine, and water, and have a great relaxed atmosphere. Mau is an amazing talent. I’m generally pretty “plain-Jane” feeling, and she really made me feel like I looked like a million bucks for my wedding day!

Kate was FANTASTIC! She made my ultra fine hair look like it had tons of body. I showed her one photo, chit-chatted for a few minutes and with just that she was able to come up with the perfect look. I was beyond impressed! Her make-up application was just as impressive. She made me look like me, just 100 times better. My photographs look great. Clearly, Kate is a pro!

All of my bridesmaids looked amazing too. Head Games is the best salon in Maine.

My hair stylist, Kate, was absolutely phenomenal! She was touted as the curly hair expert - and that she was! She took great care with every stand of hair. On my wedding day I wanted a mostly natural look using the natural texture of my hair - that is exactly what I got and despite the rain, my hair stayed in place, didn't frizz and was still soft, flowing and touchable. How did she do it? Pretty sure it was magic (or maybe years of experience and training). All my bridesmaids looked perfectly amazing and got exactly what they asked for you too!

Kate also is an expert colorist. I wanted "sun-kissed" highlights and was more than a little nervous having them done less than a week before my wedding day. Not only that, but I had a botched at-home dye job that was still growing out. Kate talked me through what she would do and in the end, I got perfectly natural looking hair as though I had merely spent a lot of time outdoors. I got so many compliments from friends, family and co-workers - and I still looked like me!

The whole staff at Head Games is very friendly. We hit a scheduling snag along the way (my original stylist quit and they had to move my trial appointment). Though I had major anxiety about all the changes and if I would like the new stylist, they did their best to accommodate me given the circumstances.

If only I lived in Maine or if Kate worked on Saturdays, I'd certainly be back for my regular hair maintenance.

I spent over $1000 at this salon in four days. Got an airbrush tan a few days prior and updated my hair color. Then on the wedding day my three bridesmaids all went to the salon in the morning. The cost was increased because it was a day that the salon isn't normally open, but Alex did a great job on our hair. I felt it was way too much money, that the salon KNEW I was desperate for a place but they delivered. I would go here again.
