THE BEGINNING:  Good Clean Fun was created by Michael Bruccoleri (guitar/mandolin/lead vocals/band leader/emcee), in January, 1997 when he approached a female vocalist/guitarist (Eileen Fogarty), and told her about his idea, which was simply to start the next great wedding and party band. Their duo was originally named Brock & Fogarty.
Part-time accompanists included Greg Gruber (keyboards/vocals), Frankie Lees (keyboards/vocals), Matt Rocchio (bass/vocals), and Lincoln Hubley (drum/vocals).
Late in 1997, Lincoln became the full-time drummer, and by the end of '98, the band's name had been officially changed to 'Good Clean Fun'.
By 1999, GCF was going full swing, and had grown into a 4-piece band when Matt Rocchio agreed to join full-time. Greg and Frankie, although not officially full-time, played most major affairs with GCF.
In 2004, the band divided, with the guitarist and drummer going one way, and with Matt and Greg staying with Mike. Frankie remains a free-lancer. The other band became known as Eileen Fogarty and the Very Best, while Mike's band retained the name Good Clean Fun.

GOOD CLEAN FUN 2012:  GCF is a full-time 6-piece band. In addition to Mike, Matt, and Greg, the band also includes: a female vocalist (either Lisa, Kitty or Caroline), drummer Roger Murdock, and multi-instrumentalist, Keith Gurland. Keith plays alto & tenor sax, clarinet & flute, Irish penny whistle & accordion, and jazz guitar & piano.
GCF is not in pubs much anymore, but keeps very busy playing weddings, parties, dinner dances, and concerts.
The standard line-up is 6 pieces, but GCF can be hired with as few as 3, or as many as 9 (or more), including: horn section, fiddle, bagpipes (Highland or Uilleann), bodhrán, and even Irish Step Dancers!
At your request, we can provide musicians for the cermony and/or cocktail hour, including the choice of: string quartet, solo keyboardist, classical guitarist, violinist, flute accompanist. At the cocktail hour, we also offer jazz combo or fiddle combo.

TRAVEL:  Although most of Good Clean Fun’s clients hail mostly from the NY Tri-State area, the band has also played in PA, MA, RI, MD, OH, IN, IL, FL and CO. GCF is also willing to travel abroad, having performed in Ireland, England, Trinidad, and even Phuket Thailand.

BAND MEMBER TIDBITS:
Michael toured for 3 years (2003-2006) with the wildly popular 60's band Herman's Hermits Starring Peter Noone. He has personally been opening act for The Guess Who, Jimy Sohns of The Shadows of Knight, and for Paul Revere & the Raiders.
Mike's Irish credentials: Mike Carroll & the Black Velvet Band, Paddy Noonan, Carl Corcoran, The Boston Burglars, Steve Hennessey Band, Tommy Mulvihill Band, Paddy Reilly, and Derek Cunningham Showband.
Michael has performed with Eileen Ivers, and has opened for Black 47.
Greg has played with dozens of classic Irish bands, including Joe Nellany & the Sligo Aces, Martin Flynn, and Ian Gallagher.
Roger is a former member of Altantic Records avant-garde band King Missile ("Detachable Penis"). He has performed and/or recorded with Joey Ramone, Ronnie Spector, Debbie Harry, Leslie West, The Martinets, The Messyheads, Wide Right, and Laurie & The Sighs, among others, and has toured extensively throughout the U.S. and the U.K.
Keith has recently toured with many famous big bands, including The Glenn Miller Orchestra ("In The Mood"), Artie Shaw, and Tommy Dorsey. He is also a former member of The Micky Dolenz Band (of The Monkees: "I'm A Believer").
Lisa was named "Irish Vocalist Of The Year" 2 consecutive years by The Irish Echo Newspaper.
Matt, a graduate of Berklee College of Music, has played with many in the big time ... too numerous to list here.
