We found John and the First Day Films team through friends who used them for their wedding, and boy am I happy that we did! Not everyone prioritizes a videographer for their wedding day, but it was something that I felt was really important and I cannot even express in words how grateful I am for the First Day Films team. John was the biggest pleasure to work with - not only is his work incredible, but on the day of my wedding he kept me calm and excited all day long more than any other vendor. His warm, calm, positive demeanor was hugely appreciated - when I felt we were a bit behind schedule, John was right there reassuring me that we had plenty of time, everything looked perfect and the shots he was getting were beautiful. We loved working with John so much and we received the most incredible sneak peek of our wedding day just a few days later which quite literally had me sobbing with happiness. I feel so grateful to John and his team and we cannot wait to see the rest of the footage which we will cherish for the rest of our lives. John was such an integral part of our wedding team! He was professional, creative, and extremely responsive to our vision! At our initial call, John said that we wouldn’t even notice him on our wedding day- he said he follows the lead of the photographer - that was 100% true!! John and his second shooter seamlessly captured our wedding, and we are so grateful he was part of our day!

At first, we didn't think we were going to "need" a videographer to capture our wedding. We'd figured that our friends' cell phone footage would fill in gaps between the photographer's stills. John Miller and his team at First Day Films were/are PHENOMENAL from the first phone call!!! John spoke with us ahead of time about what was most important to us and recommended one of their packages (there are a few, depending on your budget and how much you want recorded), and then, a few weeks prior to the big day, sent us a form to fill out and list what moments we wanted to make sure they captured -- particularly if there were any that weren't standard, including if there were going to be any "surprises" that they should be ready to record.

On the wedding day, they were on time and unobtrusive, but seemingly EVERYWHERE, based on the final product. From the "getting ready" to the "first look", through the ceremony, itself (even taking some candid footage of our guests watching), and - of course - the dance floor, toasts and cake-cutting, John and his team mined GOLD. As we watched our video for the first time, my husband and I got choked up as we relived all the wonderful moments, and we kept remarking to each other how beautifully First Day Films captured everything! Even the packaging of the thumb drive we received was first class!
