First Day Films was incredible to work with. They made my husband and I feel incredibly comfortable during our special day. There was a massive rain and weather storm incoming during our wedding, and John and his team were so accommodating. We had to move our entire first look and schedule up to work around the weather and First Day Films was easy and just so professional throughout the entire day. We ended up having beautiful weather after the storm and our video is so perfect and SO NATURAL TO US! We loved working with First Day Films and highly recommend them for your special day!! Thank you for everything and for bringing our beautiful wedding to life. -

When my brother used First Day Films 6 years ago, I knew I had to have them for my wedding. John was so easy to communicate with from day one and answered any emails in a timely manner. Edward was our main shooter and he was so nice and worked well with my photographer, Jovon!! You didn’t even know he was there taking videos, it was so seamless. A few days after my wedding, there was already a preview on Instagram which was an amazing surprise! If you want a quality video, to be stress free, and for the videographer to make you feel comfortable on your wedding day, book First Day Films! I recommend them to anyone!!! -

We worked with First Day Films for our wedding in May and cannot recommend them enough! John was so wonderful to work with and made the entire process extremely smooth. He and Daniel were also so great at making the experience of filming on our wedding day as comfortable and fun as possible! We absolutely adored our wedding film and how it captured the feel of our wedding day so well. While First Day Films was a bit more expensive than some of the other videographers we considered, it was extremely worth it for how high-quality the film was. The camera work and editing made it feel truly cinematic in the best possible way. We are so incredibly happy we chose First Day Films for our wedding! -

We found John and the First Day Films team through friends who used them for their wedding, and boy am I happy that we did! Not everyone prioritizes a videographer for their wedding day, but it was something that I felt was really important and I cannot even express in words how grateful I am for the First Day Films team. John was the biggest pleasure to work with - not only is his work incredible, but on the day of my wedding he kept me calm and excited all day long more than any other vendor. His warm, calm, positive demeanor was hugely appreciated - when I felt we were a bit behind schedule, John was right there reassuring me that we had plenty of time, everything looked perfect and the shots he was getting were beautiful. We loved working with John so much and we received the most incredible sneak peek of our wedding day just a few days later which quite literally had me sobbing with happiness. I feel so grateful to John and his team and we cannot wait to see the rest of the footage which we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Even if you are on the fence about having a videographer, there is no better choice that you can make than including John and the First Day Film team on your wedding day!! -

John and his team were absolutely amazing throughout our whole wedding planning journey. John was extremely communicative and helpful. The day of John and his team were so professionally and worked amazing along side our photographer. They kept us laughing and made us feel so comfortable. Getting our teaser a week later was so nice. Being able to share a little preview of our day was so great. A few months later we got our video back and we watched it over and over again. John made sure to put in all our special moments and some I didn’t even realize we captured. Would highly recommend first day films. We are so grateful we got to work with them and look forward to sharing these videos for years to come. -

Our wedding planner recommended First Day Films to use as our videographer to capture our big day and BOY OH BOY did they deliver! John from FDF is absolutely incredible to work with and a stellar videographer! John made us feel so comfortable and worked so efficiently on getting the absolute perfect shots. He is kind, respectful to his clients and other vendors, and carries such a phenomenal energy! FDF also returned our videos in a more than reasonable timeframe! I 110% recommend hiring First Day Films to capture your wedding day, and I would recommend them time and time again in every lifetime! Engaging John/ First Day Films to be our wedding videographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. John was always extremely responsive and eager to answer all of our questions throughout the process. John & his team came highly recommended from a friend - after seeing her wedding video and trailer, I was immediately in love with the style and quality of First Day Films work - and boy did they deliver! John worked with us to book a date, and then was flexible with rebooking when we had to reschedule. They learned our interests and priorities through a questionnaire so they knew what to focus on. Initially we thought he wouldn't be on the shooting team, and surprised us on the day of when he showed up! They worked in the background along with my photographers to capture stunning shots of us. Seeing even a 1 minute clip within 48h was priceless, and our trailer was amazing!! The formalities video was also great, and there's a good chance we will splurge on the unedited footage... What a great experience!! Worth every penny! -

John was truly an amazing videographer. From the moment we had our first phone call with John, we knew he was the perfect videographer for us- and he proved that to be true the entire way. He listened to our every request, answered every question and worked hand-in-hand with us until our wedding day. On the day of (in the best way) we had NO idea he was there. He greeted us in our respective bridal/groomsmen suites and from there I don’t think I saw him until the end of the night. No bright lights, and no stopping to gather certain moments- he captured everything organically and how we wanted to remember it. He really captured everything and we are so in love with the videos he captured. Additionally, when we had requests for our highlight film, he incorporated them seamlessly and did so with positivity, ease, and the most friendly demeanor. His films are beautiful and really capture the entire day with raw emotion. Thank you so much John- you are the reason we will get to relive our wedding day for years to come! -

WOW where to even begin. First Day Films was hands down my favorite vendor to work with for my wedding and truly the best vendor I hired for my wedding in terms of quality, service, and exceeding expectations. John Miller is not only an amazing guy but incredibly personable and absolutely phenomenal to work with. It is truly a pleasure just knowing him and his team in addition to working with them. My older sister used First Day Films for her wedding 6 months prior to mine and prior to her wedding, I had been looking at some other videographer's that charged less (my wedding venue was a lot more pricey than my sister's so although she had given me their name and pricing info I wasn't sure it would fit into my budget). I started looking into several other videographers whose price point affordable but I could barely watch a minute of the video they had on their website or instagram because it was so cheesy and hard to get through honestly. At my sister's wedding, I met the whole team and amazing they were from the instant they got to the getting ready part. All of my sister's bridal party and I noted how nice and helpful John was throughout the entire day whether it was with her dress getting in and out of the bus just a pleasure to be around. After her wedding, I saw the highlight film First Day Films put up on Instagram LESS THAN 24 HOURS after her wedding and was in awe. I then allowed myself to do a deep dive into their instagram account to see their wedding videos and then found myself on their website watching their short 5 minute films from various weddings and KNEW I had to hire them. I found other items in my budget to cut so I could hire First Day Films because despite months of researching other videographers no one held a candle to John's work. Their videos are put together with such incredible detail to edit that is just such an amazing way to relive your day. I cant even tell you how exciting it was to watch my wedding video. They are incredibly easy to work with and make everyone so comfortable that you forget they are there but are completely engaged with you and your day and the shots you want. He is incredibly skilled at where to set up his camera and when to be there at just the right time. His team had worked with my photographer before but even if they hadn't worked together before I would have no hesitation because of how easy and nice he is to work with. I was absolutely obsessed with my video. I sadly had rain on my wedding day and did some shots outside but held my dress really high to avoid the ground and in one shot i had no idea that the crinolin from under layers of my dress was showing and I sent john a note to see if there was anything i could do to take it out of the shot. He immediately responded and we got on call that night to talk and the next day he edited my video so that the crinoline was not seen - his customer service is unbeatable. Above all, John and his team really differentiate themselves with the INCREDIBLE editing they do and their flexibility to clients - he is so patient and intune with any details you provide him. I am so thankful for his beautiful work and tremendous patience and really I appreciate how personable e and engaged he was in my entire process to get a flavor for my husband and I's story as a couple and our big day and what was important to us. I could never imagine perfectly capturing the best day of our lives in 60 seconds (the Instagram video) or in 4 minutes (the vimeo recap), but First Day Films f*cking nailed it!
John and team are amazing. They're responsive, flexible and ever so talented. The quality of their work is beyond expectations. You would do yourself a disservice not to have them capture your special day. -

My husband and I used John and his team for our 12/07/18 wedding and could not be happier!!!
For the 2+ years leading up to my wedding, I was certain I did not want a videographer after seeing so many weddings with obstructive, awkward, and super posed videos… but after realizing that the most common wedding regret is not having a video, my husband and I had a change of heart. When our photographer recommended First Day Films, I immediately called up and booked John, and I am so glad we did!
Leading up to the wedding, John met with my husband and I in person and had us answer some questions to get to know us better, which I loved because it completely translates in his work - everything feels truly personalized. The day of the wedding, John and his assistant showed up on time and immediately began filming without us even noticing. Whether we were at the church, taking pictures outside, or celebrating at our reception, John was there every step of the way capturing every moment without disruption. The tagline for First Day Films is “Relax. Enjoy yourself. You won’t know we’re there.” and I cannot express how true this is!! Looking back at my wedding reception, I don’t even remember seeing John except for when I said goodbye at the end – HE’S THAT GOOD.
Within days of our wedding John had already posted an amazing one-minute highlight video to social media, which all our family and friends could not stop raving about! The quality of John’s work is unbelievably natural, clean, simple, and elegant, without any of the obviously cheesy and staged videos you so often see! He has the amazing ability to so clearly capture genuine, special moments without anything seeming fake or rehearsed.
I am so thankful that we hired First Day Films, and that we will always have our video to look back on to relive the best day of our lives!
