We’re Joe and Kathy McLaughlin, Ordained and Certified Wedding Celebrants. With your help, we can orchestrate a beautiful and personalized wedding made just for you. Every wedding is as unique as the couples themselves.

We believe that your wedding should reflect your style and let your love and joy be the focal point of the day. Your ceremony can be as religious or as non-religious as you want. You can include The Sand Ceremony, The Rose Ceremony, Hand-Fasting, and of course,  The Family Unity Ceremony, if you’d like.  You are only limited to the creation of your imagination.  All couples are welcome since we strongly believe that every one deserves a chance at happiness.  

We are located in Belmar, Monmouth County, NJ, but have performed weddings all over the state. We have performed weddings on the beach, in parks, gazebos, even on a riverboat!

We have been married to each other since June 1995. Joe started out as an Ordained Fire Chaplain with his local fire department. His duties included funeral services for fallen firefighters and counseling services for the surviving family members. He started doing wedding ceremonies in 2003 when his son asked him if he could officiate his wedding. Since then, Joe has done numerous wedding celebrations and reaffirmations. Joe feels it is a joy and an honored privilege to be a part of a couple’s special day.  

Kathy has been a certified bridal consultant since 1994, but has helped brides plan and organize their weddings since 1982. She became certified through Weddings Beautiful, Inc. and is now a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants and International Association of Wedding and Event Professionals. She has worked in several bridal shops and has a secret talent for matching brides with the perfect bridal gown and accessories. She is also a Certified Ordained Minister. Kathy has written and published many articles on the aspects of planning a wedding. Joe and Kathy have also had their own wedding vows featured in, "The Complete Book of Wedding Vows", by Diane Warner.
