Diane’s music Options include: Wedding ceremony singer, pianist (or portable keyboardist), classical string trio, and harpist. Wedding reception cocktail and dinner music includes solo pianist, the Diane Martinson Jazz Duo, Trio, instrumental combos, Reception Dance: Diane Martinson Jazz Swing Bands (4 to 7 pieces) or Elevation Swing & Variety Dance Band (6 to 8 pieces).

Band Details

How many band members do you regularly have? It's very flexible; 2 to 8 piece bands are available.

What is your band's usual attire? Tuxes is the standard, and you can request Suit & Tie

Do you offer live sample performances? You can preview video of many varied live performances online.

Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know? Yes, we learn many special requests. A fee depends on the song and how many musicians you have hired. I'll give you an estimate.

What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service? We have a portable piano keyboard, sound system PA. and band flood lighting.

Do you usually emcee the reception and/or talk between songs? Yes, Diane will make introductions, and any announcements you need.

Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal? A meal is not required, it is appreciated if we're playing for dinner and the dance.

Do you play recorded music during your breaks? Yes, we can play recorded music during breaks for continuous music.

How much time do you usually need for setup? We will arrange set up with the location, it takes 1-2 hours depending on the group.

How much space do you usually require? Space depends on the number of musicians hired, I list the requirement on my website.

What is your overtime rate? Additional rates (all fees)will be listed on your contract.

Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge? We charge mileage at the standard currentIRS rate $.50 a mile outside the Twin Cities area.You will receive an estimate.

Additional Questions and Answers
We perform at outside events if adequate shade or a tented / covered area is provided. Special requested song arrangements are available in all styles of music. We have many outstanding song arrangements that include all instruments combined as a small ceremony orchestra- vocalist, pianist, string trio and harp.
