Deyla Huss captured our wedding day in ways I never thought possible. From start to finish, she was professional, kind, and showed a genuine interest in getting to know my (now) husband and I as she wanted to make sure our wedding photography showed all of our closest connections, while also meeting our personal style and location preferences. This week we saw our wedding photos, and they exceeded our expectations in every way. Even our friends and family have been raving about how exceptional she is! I have never seen such beautiful, heartwarming photography, and I'm so grateful Deyla was able to provide us with images that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Her talent is unmatched, and I hope to hire her for all my photography needs in the future. She truly is the best out there.

Sheesh, I’ll probably cry writing this review because I love Deyla that much! Our wedding planner & designer recommended Deyla to us for our wedding photography and I couldn’t be more grateful that we found her. Deyla photographed both our engagement shoot as well as our wedding, and her pictures are treasures that we will cherish forever. Her incredible talent is obvious by looking at her gorgeous photos, but what I hope you can gather from this review is how wonderful of a person Deyla is and how much she will add to your entire wedding experience. Deyla’s calming and confident personality puts you at ease and makes you excited for your big day. She was a huge advocate for us on our wedding day - helping make sure we had the ceremony of our dreams outside, and having immaculate attention to detail the entire day. I am so grateful for all of her advice, guidance, and stamina on our big day. (And also for making sure I ate so I didn’t pass out 🤣). She truly and genuinely cares for her couples. Deyla is not only a truly amazing photographer, but an amazingly kind and genuine person as well! She photographed our Covid postponed wedding when I was seven months pregnant and she made it a point to take such good care of me, from always offering me water and a chair to sit in, to always checking in to see how I was feeling. At one point I lost the back of my earring and she took off her own and offered it to me. She truly made me feel so special and cared for. And our pictures turned out even more perfect than we could have imagined! She is so talented and captured all the joy, love, and laughter of our special day. Hiring Deyla is something my husband and I highly recommend! She truly is the best in so many ways.

After a Facetime with her, we knew she was someone we would actually really enjoy being with most of our wedding day, and who we would enjoy working with over the course of our wedding planning process. Deyla is the best of the best! My husband and I were lucky enough to have her as our wedding photographer, and we could not have been happier with our decision. It is clear to us that she truly loves her job and cares deeply about all of her couples. The photos she captured turned out incredibly timeless, beautiful and natural looking. I can't believe how easy she makes it look! She is the most trustworthy person and made our big day very stress free. We had to postpone our wedding due to COVID as well as for a family reason, and she could not have been more understanding and flexible in order to make sure we could get married when the time was right. Her photos truly make us feel like we are re-living our magical day over and over. I will definitely be recommending her to all of my friends.

We are SO happy we went with her as our wedding photographer- she is the best in Portland in my opinion. Exceptional quality and just an overall amazing person to be around. She perfectly captured our wedding and all the intimate moments that matter. We hired a second shooter as well that really helped shorten our "getting ready" timeline. She is very experienced in all types of venues and we chose her because of her range - Not to mention she delivered in the midst of a pandemic for our micro wedding and still made it all seem so grand! Deyla is such a phenomenal photographer! From the moment we met, I knew there was an instant connection of genuine friendship. She is so gifted with that camera and her ability to capture the most intimate, hilarious, and beautiful moments. We loved our engagement photo shoot and we're absolutely amazed at the gorgeous details she captured throughout our wedding day! She and her team were amazing on our wedding day helping us stay organized and we were even able to go on a secret mission to capture "THE PICTURE"! We are so pleased with how all of our wedding photos turned out and we can't wait to print and frame them for our home! Deyla is the best! From the moment we had our first meeting (via FaceTime), I knew I wanted her to take photos on our wedding day. She perfectly captured every moment and had us laughing the entire time. She was very responsive throughout the entire process and was very thorough in capturing so many great photos from that day. She made sure we were comfortable and just made the entire process fun. In addition, she's so sweet - she sends you a lovely personalized box with printed photos as well as a memory stick with all of your photos on it. We also opted for an album as well, which we haven't yet completed, but I know that's going to be amazing like everything else. I could not speak more highly of Deyla - she's definitely the best!

Deyla is so much fun to work with and so easy going, but not afraid to take control to get the group under control and get the shot. Her ability to use natural light and the landscape is truly a work of art. Deyla was very easy to work with during the engagement session, and during the wedding. She was very aware of timing, lighting, and capturing every moment. The final deliverable was such a great surprise! Thank you for such a great experience and such hard work!

Deyla is absolutely amazing! We had a destination Oregon wedding and did not get to meet Deyla in person until our wedding day. We did have Skype meetings to get to know each other and make sure she knew the important details that we wanted to memorialize through the photos. She was so helpful in providing names of vendors in the area and helping create our wedding day schedule. Deyla was great to work with and her photos are so beautiful, truly artistic. She is very professional but helped manage family matters, for example precluding family from being part of the first look between the bride and groom. It was nice to have that private moment for just the two of us. We have such admiration and appreciation for Deyla and her work. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!
