Amy Elizabeth has had a passion for makeup artistry from a very young age, which began with experimenting on friends and family. After completing college and working for a several years in the medical industry as a Physical Therapist, Amy began to realize that her passion for makeup artistry could become a successful career.
Amy began her quest for this field in 2004 by taking classes in beauty & fashion makeup at the Lia Schorr Institute and the Powder Group in New York, NY. Slowly she started freelancing various jobs to build her resume. Around the same time she also became a consultant for the Swiss skin care company, Arbonne International. Arbonne afforded Amy a solid background in skincare technology which after all is the root of where makeup artistry begins! Without that knowledge it is difficult to address the care and concerns of the skin, the canvas of her artistry.
In 2006 Amy decided to advance her career by becoming a Makeup Artist for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. Through Bobbi Brown Amy has received a wealth of additional training in artistry and has earned advanced opportunities such as, being chosen as the Makeup Artist to represent Bobbi Brown Cosmetics at the Nautica and INC fashion shows for Macy’s East, as well as being chosen as the Makeup Artist for the regional Dress for Success contest. Amy currently holds editorial credits in Upstate Magazine for doing various fashion shoots.
Amy has had the privilege to work with many amazing celebrity makeup artists and stylists including, Bobbi Brown, James Vincent, Colleen Runne, Kimberly Soane, Michael Tarlowski and Jorge Ramon.
