Tips and Advice
The first thing that most brides say when polled after the reception is that they wish they would have spent more money and time on the Disc Jockey.
The DJ is part of the whole reception and deserves time and passion when choosing your special day.  Always make sure that his music library is "legal" and not bootlegged from the internet.  Make sure that he has "proof" of liability insurance. A real professional is always active in national associations and should have awards from his peers.  Beware of "yellow page dj's" as they are usually marketing services more than a dj service....usually by nature the "lowest commen denominator" that are more interested in how many places they can be on your same day.  A single operator usually has more passion to make your day perfect instead of "just doing the gig".  Also beware of "Bridal Show DJ's"....if they have to spend a lot of money advertising...what are they doing wrong at the receptions.... There are only 52 Saturdays usually in one year...a professional doesn't have to advertise a lot because if he is doing a great job...the word-of-mouth will keep him busy.
