I simply can’t overstate how amazing Amy Carroll Photography was for our engagement and wedding! We are completely thrilled with her work and all of the joy we had in creating it!

A year prior to the wedding, Amy met us out in Saugatuck for an engagement photo session, and it was a blast! We had little idea of where to go or what to do, and Amy took care of everything.

On the wedding day, Amy had her assistant take the groomsmen around Grand Rapids, shooting countless awesome photos, while Amy stuck with the bride and the bridesmaids taking amazing photos of her own.

Not only did Amy and her assistant bring incredible skills to the shooting of the ceremony and reception, but it was all so joyous. Even during the stressful moments, Amy kept everyone calm and feeling great about themselves and the evening. Amy even snuck us out for a brief “golden hour” shoot that turned out incredible.

The bottom line is that we feel amazing looking back at our photos, and we have Amy Carroll to thank for that.

Choosing Amy to photograph our engagement session and wedding day was absolutely one of the best decisions we made for the entire event!! Amy is extremely talented, familiar with the diversity of locations around Grand Rapids, professional, fun, easy to be around, and takes any awkwardness out of taking photos. She does her homework and knows exactly how to use the time you have allotted to photos during your wedding day. Not wasting a moment. This was especially helpful given we were planning our wedding from another state and not familiar with all the locations around Grand Rapids. All this comes through in her stunning photography. Amy and her husband Jeff photographed our wedding day and they are a GREAT team! They captured everything from small, candid moments to large, formal family photos with organization and ease. Halfway through the wedding we forgot Amy and Jeff were our photographers because they felt more like friends.

Amy is a gem of a human being. She took time to get to know us when she did our engagement shoot and then took time the week of our wedding to chat to make sure she knew what was important to us that day. The day of the wedding, she was amazing to have around. She's super chill but brings great energy. Now for her pictures - they are AMAZING! She captured our day in the most authentic way and we absolutely love our pictures. She is great at giving direction and has a vision for how she wants pictures or poses to go and I suggest just listening because it will totally be worth it. We can't wait to work with Amy again in the future!

I can’t imagine my wedding day without Amy Carroll!! Amy’s photos are stunning and capture the story of the entire day. I’ve received so many compliments on my wedding photos and I am still trying to decide which ones to frame. I wish I could frame them all! What I loved the most about working with Amy is she captured moments as they happened and because of that I feel as if my wedding photos tell a story. Amy and her team are true professionals, great to work with

Where do I even begin with Amy? I’m convinced that Amy is an actual angel. Or Cupid. My husband and I have never felt as in love as we did after taking engagement photos with her. And to be expected, we felt that same way after our wedding day with her. She’s beyond talented at her craft not only technically, but she also has a beautiful ability to make you actually enjoy being photographed! My husband was not necessarily thrilled about being in front of a camera for our engagement photos, but afterward he was already looking forward to taking wedding photos. My bridal party also loved taking photos with her. Many of them have been in other weddings and said that Amy was the best photographer they’ve worked with. She takes charge, gets everyone where they need to be, is organized, has a great eye, and makes the process fun! She experienced a family emergency during our wedding day and nevertheless remained professional, enthusiastic, and present for us and for our day. I can only imagine how difficult that must have been for her. All in all, Amy is professional, beyond talented, and managed to capture the most meaningful and special moments of our day. It was so much fun to look at our wedding photos and see special moments that we didn’t witness personally. Amy captured beautiful memories, was flexible throughout the process, and was willing to make our visions come to life. We love Amy and our photos so much that we will travel across the country just to do family sessions with her as our family grows! Her second shooter, Heather, was phenomenal as well. Amy was wonderful. From our first call to communications post wedding, she made us feel so comfortable. She took the time to listen to our overall feelings of the wedding and made picture taking easy at our event. We had already done an engagement session by the time we booked Amy but decided to still do a mini sessions pre wedding (we used them for holiday cards) and I would recommend it to all future brides. It gave us an idea of how easy photos would be at the wedding. Amy and her 2nd shooter were inconspicuous throughout the night, yet they provided thousands of photos! I booked Amy based on the quality and casualness of her photos and ours turned out perfect! I would recommend Amy to all future couples and we plan to use her for any future events!

Oh my goodness... Amy is the best photographer. I mean, I know there are lots of good photographers but my family is just so blown away by her work. Recommend crazy highly, wouldn't dream of using anyone else for our photos.
