“You’re glowing, you look so relaxed and happy, you seem older!”

Gen, on June 13, 2019 at 12:47 PM Posted in Married Life 0 10
Today is my first day after the wedding/honeymoon that I’m back at work, and these are all the things I’ve been told so far by my coworkers 😂 My boss was even like “you look so relaxed I don’t want to ruin it by stressing you out, nothing stressful for you today!” Hahaha.

I seriously feel lighter and happier. Not sure if it’s the week of laying on the beach, the fact that I’m relieved to be done wedding planning, or just the pure bliss of being married, but I seriously feel different today than when I left. Normally I just wear slacks and a sweater to work and I rarely bother with makeup but today I even wore a DRESS and a full face of makeup. I just feel like I’m in such a good mood and I expected going back to work to be the smack back into reality and to bring me out of this blissful newlywed bubble, but honestly it hasn’t!

Has anyone else felt like a different, more relaxed, overall happier person since getting married? Is it just residue from the newlywed bliss or is this just how I am now?? Hahaha.

Newlywed bliss is real & it’s heavenly! We’re still a bit giddy and it’s been two years. I think the biggest difference after your wedding is no more planning stress!!! Watch those stress wrinkles & frowns melt away. ❤️

That’s wonderful! Honestly I’m generally the type of person who thrives on planning and on being busy so as stressed as I was about the wedding, I expected to be one of those people who had post-wedding depression and to miss the planning but... I seriously don’t at all hahaha. I feel like all the hard work was SO worth it, but I’m also just so relieved everything turned out so beautifully and that all the stress is over! 😍

Actually as soon as we got back from our honeymoon we wanted to leave again, ha! The weather in WI is sucking big time this year, and we just want to get back to the beautiful sun of Florida Smiley smile

Also, I was hit with some HUGE family drama literally as soon as we left the airport when we got back to WI so there was no bliss once at home for us.

Good for you though. I wish I could have had that Smiley smile

I would not know how to react to "you seem older". Does that mean wiser? More mature? More tired?! lol

Hahaha the "you look older" was what my boss said... I’m 22 and I’ve known him since I interned for him when I was 19 and a sophomore in college, so based on context I think he meant more mature :p
