Young brides!

Any other young brides in their early 20's? I know a lot of people recommend not getting married until at least 25, but after 2.5 years of dating and 1 year of living together (plus both being in our careers/done with school), it's the right time for us!

Bethyonce- as a "young" bride I say ew to young love.

ETA: only because it makes it sound ridiculous and short lived.

My parents got married at 16 & 17 and are still married (25 years). I got with my bf when I was 19 and am now getting married at 26. Glad we waited, but everyone is different.

OP, if you're marring young because your FH has a chronic illness (I'm sorry to hear this) then that it completely different from two young people running off and getting married because they can.

Wow, many bothered people on this thread. did it hit a nerve? Don't assume things like that, you don't know anyone life situation. I do agree that if you're ready, you're ready, no need to seek answers from stranger but i do get wanting to see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. I'll be turning 25 the day after our wedding.

I believe threads like this are made because many people receive comments like yours and it could be discouraging. That’s very much your opinion and you’re entitled to that but sometimes you get soon to be brides may need that reassurance from this platform because they may not be receiving any positivity around them. Some people are ready at that age and it sounds like you maybe weren’t at that age and that’s okay.
