Wrinkles Wedding dress in hips Emma Maggie Sottero

Private User, on March 21, 2014 at 9:25 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

Did anyone else have this problem? It's a perfect fit.. the fabric just seems to be wrinkled in that area. Is there any solution to this?

Try loosening up the corset right at the hips. Odds are that's the reason it is pulling. If that doesn't help consider asking the seamstress to let it out in the seams at the point it wrinkles

Wrinkling means the hip and bust dont hit your body in the right place

Here it is. The store claims it was pressed; however, they forgot to sew in the belt which makes me think, they forgot to press it as well.. which may help the wrinkles but my wedding is in 3 weeks

From the picture it looks that it needs to be tighter in that area, there's extra fabric so it's just gathering in that area

It doesn't look pressed to me, but also it looks loose in the hip causing extra fabric to gather.

This is something I struggle with often. I'm a seamstress myself and have yet to find a way to truly eliminate it. I have a very muscular body where my thighs stick out further than my hips. Other people have the opposite affect where their hips stick out more. But on my body it creates a space where the dress doesn't hug my body. So the fabric just falls and creates these wrinkles.

The only thing that I have found to fix this is to take it in a little (but too much will create horizontal pulling lines across your hips so be careful) and try really standing up straight. I find that when my posture is better these wrinkles seem to go away.

    Hope this helps
