Would you trust buying a wedding band online?

Betty, on June 15, 2009 at 12:09 PM Posted in Planning 0 29

We were looking at wedding bands online. After trying on all these dresses and making sure they fit well and looked right, I was wondering if I should do the same about our wedding bands. Have you ever bought a wedding band online?

Buying wedding bands online is totally fine. FH and I just bought tungsten rings as our wedding bands from http://www.larsonjewelers.com/ online and they look beautiful and they fit fine. I know how you feel though. I was nervous too but there really is nothing to it. If you get the wrong size, you just send it back.

I wouldn't buy a wedding band from only looking online. Go to some stores and try things on esp. to see how it looks with your engagement ring and then you can go online and find something similar to what you want for cheaper. I would definately shop around.

I bought my FH's ring online after he tried lots of different styles on in the store. I already knew the color, mm, and patterns he liked then I showed him online images to pick one out. Palm Beach Jewelry has a 90 return policy so there was no real risk to try them out.

    Hi Betty,

We ordered our matching Celtic wedding bands on-line from a company in Ireland. They are absolutely beautiful and we couldn't have been happier with the service of the company. They were in close contact with us every step of the way. We both still get a thrill every time we look at our unique and beautiful wedding bands.

    Best wishes,

    Margaret and Bill Sneddon

I got my engagement band (not the stone) and wedding band from online and I am thrilled with them....but you need to purchase from a reputable company. Try www.adiamor.com....they are awesome. As for a single stone, that I would do in person.

I do everything I can possibly do online, it saves me so much time (and money). I actually bought my ex-wife's engagement ring upgrade online through bluenile. They are a legit dealer who has been around for a long time. They have great search options, allowing lots of flexibility. And there are routinely coupons to save even more money.

You're cutting out the middle man by doing so. I was able to sell it after the divorce was finalized for about the same amount that I paid for it. They make it really easy, free overnight shipping, free return shipping for sizing (at least back then).

We bought both my and my husband's bands online. My band was perfect and the company was great. My husband got a custom black titanium band and the vendor was a nightmare, we literally got the band two days before the wedding. Happily it was beautiful and it fit, it just took three months longer than it was supposed to. So, just make sure you give yourself wiggle room in case something doesn't work out right.

Me and my FH went to Ben Moss to try on rings for him, I thought he just try one on and say "yeah I like this one" but nope!! He liked pretty much every type of band that didn't have diamonds in it!! LOL so indecisive! So we left there and I startedmy search online..I went to www.Inspiredsilver.com and picked out 2 stainless steel bands of different widths (on sale, $20.00 each) and had him try them on..well, the saller bands fits, but he likes the thicker one..and I totally spaced! When you go with a thicker band (his is 7mm) it's harder to get over the knuckle!! So, I'm on another quest for a 10.5, 7 mm wedding band. I honestley got s.steel because he was never going to wear it again after the wedding..unless I made him..so that way I went with it..but was going to save $$ up to get him a white gold band..The ones i got are beautiful by all means and happy with them..if theone he liked fit well! Just do your research and read reviews!

His ring is incredible! After alot of consideration I ordered from http://www.worldjewels.com/ I got K-133 & this ring is HEAVY. It's 6mm wide and about 2.5mm thick. These rings are made (once your order is placed) in the size you order and they are solid not hollow. The diamond color & clarity are accurate also.

I think buying a wedding band online is a great choice for a couple reasons...1)lower price due to lower overhead costs (rings are more expensive at the store because you are helping paying the rent) and 2) There is more to choose from. We recently bought couple rings from www.forevermetals.com - they were two customized bands that cost lower than one ring at the mall (Rogers and Hollands). The website is secure and it comes with a Lifetime Guarantee....can't go wrong. I can understand being skeptical though....we got recommended forever metals from a friend of ours that had great luck with them.
