Would you get married in a haunted venue??

Christina, on October 27, 2015 at 4:03 PM Posted in Planning 0 25

Halloween is right around the corner! That being said, the couples in this article went with an underlying spooky theme, whether it was Halloween or not Smiley smile

Would you get married in one of these haunted (and gorgeous!) venues? Which one?

Pictured below:

1 - The Carolina Inn

2 - Hawthorne Hotel (MA)

3 - Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel

***Note for local couples ~ The Omni Shoreham is on this list!

ABSOULTELY I WOULD! We got married in a restored hotel from the early 1900's, I can't even tell you how many times DH asked the staff if parts were haunted and if he could go explore lol.

I love everything Halloween. I even got engaged on the day 2 years ago haha.

Yep, don't believe in that stuff. I'd get married in the 2nd or 3rd no doubt.

Supposedly the grounds of my venue are haunted. There are two different ghost stories/hauntings that aren't too exciting. One was a suicide in a residence on the property and I don't remember the other. One of those paranormal investigators spent the night in the room I'm having my reception in and sensed energy or whatever they track. I'm not concerned, so yes, I'd get married in any of the venues listed in the article!

Nope, nope, nope! There's a haunted (yet gorgeous and very fancy) venue in Winnipeg, the Fort Garry Hotel. When I learned it was haunted, I scratched it off from the list and didn't even check their availability. Not happening Smiley tongue

These are two pics of that hotel.

Probably not. I don't want to disturb the ghosts.

I love halloween and all things creepy and spooky. For me though it's that I love real ghost stories but I can't stand the "haunted houses" and such. I would gladly deal with a real ghost before I would go through a halloween haunted house. I did that once and never again. I like the mystery of it all and the history as well. I think it can be spooky and a little chilling without being horrifying. That's fine for those who like it as well, but I think both have their time and place (and their fans).

One of our top choices is a mansion in a Victorian cemetery! I kinda hope it's haunted

We actually work in one, the Hermitage, in HoHoKus, NJ. When I was still catering, I had waiters who wouldn't go there, lol.....

Why not? Those are all very pretty venues, too!
