Would you be mad if your friend chose same wedding day as you?

Hey guys. So I have a friend that chose the same wedding date as me. Even though it is a year difference I did tell her that there was a 75% we would get married same date in 2017. She just got engaged about two week ago and I have been engaged since Christmas 2015 and chose the same damn date. Wtf...

Yes you are, though I guess you are not alone because my mom and sister don't want to share there wedding month (an entire month!) with me! I don't really understand that at all but I say that to say that you are not alone!

If there is a year apart I don't see why this is a big deal. None of your friends need to choose what wedding to attend or anything.

Honestly, I would be pretty upset too. Yes, you get one day BUT that's pretty fucked up. Try to let it go.

The EXACT same day? Like, the same day so you can't go to each other's wedding? Yes.

The same date but not the actual same day? So that you'll have the same anniversary date but are getting married different years? No. You don't own the calendar.

Are you getting married 2018 or 2017? You can't hold that date indefinitely.

The only people who would even realize it is you and her or anyone the two of you tell.

It's trivial, and irrelevant to you.

I agree with everyone else. You're definitely being petty. It's not like she's getting married the same day, the same year! Just let it go.

My FH best friend he grew up with just told us she is getting married the same day as we are when we were talking to her about getting a plane ticket for her to come to the wedding. We were sad she is missing it but happy to share an anniversary together.

If it was the same day & year yes but otherwise no way. One of the GM in our wedding got engaged a month or two ago & they are getting married 3 weeks before ours at the same venue! That bothered me for a split second. Our venue is beautiful so I can see why they chose it. P

I definitely would not care about a year later. If it was same day and same year I'd be bummed I couldn't attend hers!
