Would you appreciate playing cards as a favor?

I'm not really super into the idea of favors, but I saw on Shutterfly that you can make personalized decks of playing cards. FH is a magician (as is the Best Man and several of our guests), and carries decks of cards with him everywhere to do magic for people. I'm thinking it might be cute to give...

Would this be a good favor, or would you likely not bring the cards home with you?

Maybe a couple on each table? Guests can take them if they want but I wouldn't expect everyone to take them.

    A. L. C. I think it's a cute idea and FH and I would definitely take/ keep them as long as you're putting a picture of Central Park or something similar!

Well I think it depends hugely on your guests! Are they all magicians? Probably not. I would skip this. I didn't have favours at my wedding- well I sort of did ( ice cream with different toppings, chocolate, candies, bubblegums) I would treat my guests to edible favours instead!

UO, but I'd probably play with them at the reception.

I'd consider taking a plain set, not a personalized one

I'd take them, Im a card player and it's always great to have a spare deck. We actually gave Spanish playing cards (different from the ones we use in the US) as a favor at ours with instructions for how to play a Spanish card game.

I like the idea, but I think in the long run I would prefer if your picture was just on the box.

I like the idea. We went to a wedding who had them and we use them all the time. They are personalized with names and the wedding date though-no faces...that might be a little strange. It sounds like the idea fits you guys well though Smiley smile

How personalized? I don't need cards for any reason but I really don't want to look at other people on them.

You know your guests. I collect decks of cards, but if that's not your thing, most people will leave it. You decide if it's worth the money. Maybe provide it for those who are interested in it.

I think it's fun and unique! My FH and I like to carry a deck of cards with us when we travel because you can always play a card game to pass the time.
