Would purple and orange go good together

If you base it on the color wheel, they go together; blue and orange are complimentary colors and since blue and purple are analogous colors the purple tends to work as a compliment as well.

I think purple and orange can be beautiful together for a fall wedding as long as they are in somewhat muted tones. Otherwise you risk looking like school colors. Your dress is royal blue though? I'm not sure how that would work with purple and blue...not that it can't be done, but you'll have to be very careful with the shades you pick. Burnt orange and plum are great together but royal blue would look weird with those two. But, like Annie & Javi said, it is all about your preference.

Yes. The two are complimentary to each other. I think a rich plum color with a pumpkin-ish Orange (maybe a little darker) would look really pretty together.

Purple and Orange are my wedding colours too! I think they are great for the fall. My girls are wearing Plum/Eggplant colour dresses and having orange flowers.

Why does it say your wedding date is 8/6? If you're having an autumn wedding, I think purple dresses with orange flowers could look beautiful, as in the pictures posted above. But if you're set on a royal blue wedding dress, that's a different story. You need to work the color scheme around you, since you want to be a focal point as the bride. The purple and orange would be too much.

A burnt/dark orange and purple are common fall wedding colors and go well together. I'm not sure about that plus a blue dress though... that's gonna give it a more carnival feel i think. Which is fine, it can still be done well, but it does sound like a lot going on.

I'm doing eggplant and orange. My dress is ivory though. Everything may look kind of dark with your blue dress.

I think purple and orange go great together and blue and orange go great together. I am worried that your blue and purple will clash. I had purple and green as my main colors but had pops of orange in the flowers.
