Our wedding date is October 17, 2020 and I am having a really difficult time deciding what our men should wear. I really want them to look nice so fit is very important to me. Additionally, I would like my FH to stand out a little. I would love to see what your men are wearing for inspiration. Since our family is spread out across the country, I was thinking of trying something like BlackTux, Generation Tux, or Menguin to make it easier on our groomsmen. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry I'm of no help. We're getting married on the beach in June and the guys are wearing black jeans, black button up shirt and red/white/silver ties. Fiance is wearing a different tie as well as a vest.

    Hi Jasmine,
Your FH is going to look very handsome in the above attire. I'm sorry to hear about your wedding party. As you pointed out, the good news is that you won't have the headache of trying to make sure your groom stands out. Additionally, though it is nice to have a wedding party, it can be equally as nice not to have one. Since you don't have a wedding party, all of your guests will be able to focus on the two of you. Smiley smile

    Hi Tina,
Thank you for sharing. Your FH and boys will look very sharp in this outfit. I love that your FH wanted to get all dresses up for you and requested to wear a tuxedo.

    Hi Heather,
I appreciate your comment and hearing that you decided to have the groomsmen go without a vest and have your FH wear one is helpful. Having your future husband wear a different tie will also make him stand out. Your June beach wedding sounds delightful. Best wishes to you. Smiley smile

    Hi Nakesha,
Thank you for sharing your vision and for the flower advice. Both are very helpful. I really love that you are blending both of your cultures together for your wedding. My FH and his family are from Ukraine, and though he moved here when he was eight years old, his family still embraces many of their traditions. I think it is wonderful and enjoy learning Russian, which they all speak, as well as trying new Ukrainian recipes. We are currently in the process of trying to figure out how to bring some Ukrainian elements into our wedding decor or our rehearsal dinner. I would love to hear more about what you have planned to celebrate and blend your two cultures together at your wedding.

He is wearing a different tie as well as the vest. He's buying his groomsmen their ties as he already has his.

Thank you! We're both super excited about his attire (almost as much as mine lol). The other bright side to no longer having a wedding party is I wanted a specific gold for my girls and just had no luck. It was stressing me out because I refused to have them in any other color lol. Of course the guys were easy lol

Our wedding date is also Oct 17 2020! My FH is wearing a burgundy vest, white long sleeve button down, either black or burgundy tie and black slacks. The groomsmen are wearing white long sleeve button down, burgundy tie, burgundy suspenders and black slacks. That way they all kinda match but my FH stands out a little bit.

    Hi Arianna,
It is always nice to meet a date twin! I like your idea of keeping the guys cohesive by using variations of the same colors. What color dresses are your girls wearing?

My ladies are wearing burgundy long flowy dresses of their choosing as long as the color is kinda close (that way they can wear them again). The bouquets are mostly going to be sunflowers and fall leaves with little burgundy flowers. The men's boutonnieres will match the bridesmaids.

My FH picked out his guys' suits. Pewter grey (to match my BM's dresses) 3 piece suits with bright sienna ties (to match the flower colors) and a pocket square to match the ties.

His boutonniere is the darker orange one, the GM will all have a lighter shade of orange flowers on theirs.

We mixed and matched suits... and just about everything else. My whole aesthetic with everything is "this is what I like and what I like all looks good together" ha!

One thing that we decided to do was to incorporate both languages into our wedding. His family still speaks traditional Hawaiian and I was born and raised on English. So, we will have prayers in both, readings on both and he will be saying his vows in English and I will be saying my vows in Hawaiian. Until a few weeks into our relationship, I had no idea Hawaiian was even a language! It is and it is utterly beautiful.
We decided to incorporate a traditional pig roast into our reception.
We'll be having a hula dance as well as a fire dance preformed. We're mixing in Hawaiian music with some of our old favorites and some newer songs. One thing that we love that stems from BOTH cultures is to send our guest home with something. His side is a tier of cake to each side of the family and one to the minister, mine is traditionally called favors and can literally be almost anything. So, we're doing custom caffeine packs (coffee, tea and chocolate). We both are very giving people in real life, so this is just natural for us. Blending of sands is a very Hawaiian thing. We've adapted it so our sand pouring is two parts and the first part symbolizes all of the love that our families, specifically our parents, poured and will continue to pour into us. The basic format for our wedding started as traditional American (which was 100% my side) and we've changed and added quite a bit, which I really didn't think about until writing this out. We just are going with what makes us happy (it seems I'm a Hawaiian at heart. Lol).
