I think we are looking at men’s wear house first. We are either going to do my FH in a dark grey tux and his groomsmen in light grey, or all same grey then FH tie and groomsmen bow ties or visa versa!

Our colors are navy, burgundy and gold. My FH mentioned wearing a white/ivory jacket and dark pants to distinguish himself from the groomsmen. I initially thought it wouldn’t work, but I fell in love with the idea when I saw this picture online. It could actually work!

FH will be in a navy three piece suit. Best Man will be in a white shirt, navy vest and pants. Groomsmen and bridesmen will be in dress shirts and pants, no vests or jackets. They’ll be wearing blush/mauve ties. We wanted to be slightly more casual and I wanted FH to stand out.

View Quoted Comment I really like the idea of grey tuxes. My girls are wearing gem colored dresses, which is almost like emergald, and my flowers are going to be like the inspiration picture below. I liked the inspiration pic below for the guys, but the color of the suit doesn't seem to be a color I can find online or in stores. So I'm not sure what to do. I also really don't like the flower on the suit in the picture below, so I am trying to figure that out also.

Thank you for sharing your vision with me. I am also considering going with no jacket or vest for our groomsmen. I'm a little unsure if we can get away with it since our wedding is at night. Since our groomsmen are scattered, I thought it might be easier to just ask them to buy the items we specify. Since I don't want to put anyone out, I thought keeping things simple would cost them less and that they might also be able to wear the items later. Of course online rental options also seem to be a good possibility.

This is what my FH will be wearing with a navy vest and a red wine tie. Unfortunately we no longer have a wedding party so he'll still stand out.

My FH’s only request is that he wanted to wear a black tuxedo. This is what he will be wearing. My boys are the same but bow ties instead of the long tie. We don’t have a bridal party.

Our groomsmen are going to be in fri white suits with ties to match the bridesmaids (Regency purple and ocean blue with our MOH&BM in silver). My FH is going to be in white slacks and shirtless with a massive henna tattoo across his chest, back and shoulders. We're culture blending (he's Hawaiian Polynesian, I'm a black chick from Tennessee. Lol).

View Quoted Comment I do believe the flower in the pic of the suit is a carnation. It also appears to me that your flowers are roses. If both are correct, that may be why the flower in the suit pic bothers you. Carnations and roses don't photograph the same nor do they look remotely similar in person. I hope this helps!

From men’s warehouse - DH wore a custom blue suit with the same pink bow tie that the groomsmen wore, and we went with the no jacket and suspenders look for our garden wedding! (The ivory suspenders above came with the rentals but we got them the brown ones below from Amazon to match their shoes)
