Wording for Lazo in Spanish or English needed *Update in comments

SimpleSeamstress, on June 19, 2015 at 4:35 PM Posted in Planning 1 4

Hi, I already checked the search bar with no luck. Any brides out there done or doing the Lazo (Mexican/Filipino/Spanish tradition) in their ceremony? I want to add it, my priest is down but I need to come up with the words for him. I am looking for them in either Spanish or English. At this point I am trying to write down what I am hearing the priest say from a youtube video because I have had no luck doing a google search (only finding out what a Lazo is, not the wording/liturgy. Can anyone help a girl out?

Update for other brides: Here is what I came up with pulling wording from the site below and from the youtube video below.

    http://www.celebrateintimateweddings.com/lassoceremony.html

    The Lasso

_______________and ___________ have chosen to incorporate the Lasso, a traditional Mexican wedding ritual into their ceremony today. They will be bound together with a ceremonial rosary that signifies the forever binding of love and marriage through the unity of God. It is placed around them in a figure eight which represents infinity: no beginning and no end.

(Padrinos de Lazo place the lazo around the shoulders of the kneeling bride and groom)

    Officiant:

____________ and ___________ since your lives have crossed in this life, you have formed eternal and sacred bonds. As you enter this state of matrimony you should strive to make real the ideals that to you, give meaning to this ceremony and to the institution of marriage.

Let your union with this lasso be an inspiration to you. Remember that the holiness necessary to maintain you union as a family of God, is only obtained through mutual sacrifice and love. May the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph be an example to you throughout your lives.

    Amen

    Spanish:

Amen
