Woodsy wedding venues

tiffiny, on October 22, 2015 at 12:38 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

Help! We have been searching for well over a month and still haven't found a venue for our small wedding & reception (under 40) guests for March 27th 2016. We want to have a wedding at sunset in the forest followed by the reception in the same location if possible. Hard part is our budget...Wedding including reception w/catering & signature cocktails beer, wine & champagne toast, flowers & decor is capped at $5k. We're in L.A. looking as far as Santa Barbara all the way to San Diego and everywhere in between. If anyone has already done the Enchanted Forest Wedding or knows someone who has please let us in on your secret! We are also open to farms & vineyards main focus in on somewhere with lots of trees and flowers. Thank you in advance!

    I'm not I'm California, but I'm

Doing the enchanted forest theme with a small ceremony/reception deal. Look for Girl or Boy Scout camps instead of traditional wedding venues. They tend to be in woodsy areas, some feature a chapel or two, and usually they're pretty cheap (comparatively).

The camp idea is a great one; I have four in NJ that I recommend. They are all screaming rustic, of course.

Other non trad venues to look at? Greenhouses, farms (as opposed to farm venues....) zoos, colleges; places that don't do weddings, in short.
