Wooden arch - modern wedding

I love the personalization of this! How meaningful that your father will be making the arch you are married in front of 💕 To modernize it, I would definitely suggest painting it. You could even do metallic paint if you wanted a metal-like sheen to it. You can also attach a beautiful floral arrangement to it, or draped fabric, or even hang macramé from it!

I've seen loads of pics of modern venues 'softened' by a wooden arch, so I don't think you'd need to paint it or do anything, other than attach flowers to it! Here's some inspo!

This is the room currently booked for our ceremony. Imaging the long table as the aisle. I forgot to take pics when they had it set up for a ceremony. We are using those gray chairs throughout the day. This is the least exciting room.

This is a space we also just looked at for the ceremony and waiting to hear back if we will fit, which I am hoping for the natural light. Unfortunately I don’t have a better picture. And this is the ballroom, which we will be upgraded to if it is not booked 30 days prior. We are having a smaller wedding so they are booking us in a smaller space.

The exciting part is where our reception will be. We will either be sitting in front of the windows or more in the corner by the bar. I’ve included some of their stock photos and of other weddings in the space.
