Won a free Mary Kay pampering session

I signed up for a raffle at Davids bridal when we went for bridesmaids dresses and they called me today and said I won! I was planning on inviting the allowed 6 guests but my mom is not into it saying they're just going to pressure you to buy the entire time. Is this a scam to just try and sell me?...

Is this a scam to just try and sell me? Has anyone one else won?

Honestly any In home Party is about selling. These ladies dont work for a non profit business. I do Mary Kay parties and we have so much fun. I am sorry some of you had bad experiences.

Then don't advertise the event as a "you won a free facial". It's false advertising and often these Huns get visibly annoyed if you don't buy anything and will nonstop harass you through email, phone calls and/or text until you have to block them. MLMs are predatory. Create an expense spreadsheet of your side hustle including how much time you spend promoting and you'll see just how much profit you're really making.

It's not a scam. When i got married they threw me a pampering session and along with that i was able to invite 3 other girls. For me it was like a bridal shower. They did our makeup it was nice and simple. You don't have to buy however you can buy.

It's FREE and there no obligation to buy anything. We all go to a store to buy skin care and makeup, so any store we go to is selling something to us. At least a company like Mary Kay has a Beauty Consultant who helps us find the right products for our skin. There are very few skin care and makeup company's who do. Plus if you don't like anything you buy you can change it for something else. However, it's all obligation!!!

Came here to say thank you ladies. I was looped in after I “won” and then the texts started ramping up before my attendance at a setup at a coffee shop. I will definitely by getting “sick” and blocking the number!
