Wisconsin wedding date?

Rachael, on September 20, 2017 at 10:14 AM Posted in Planning 0 9

I am trying to pick a date for my Green Bay, WI wedding. I don't want to do it this summer, but next summer seems so far away. What do people think about March weddings? The weather is a bit of a gamble, but we will be inside anyway. Also might get off season discounts. Thoughts?

Love your theme! Have you toured venues?

I think March would be fine. Just be prepared if there's a late snowstorm, but if you're inside everything should be ok.

March should be off season. Definitely small risk of snow, but us WI folks know how to drive in bad weather, lol!

I live in the fox valley and I think March will be a hit or miss- I feel like its a snow storm or sunny.

Or there are places who will give discounts to Friday, Sunday weddings too if you're open to that in season.

For Wisconsin- look into April to see if you would still get off season discounts then.

I was going to suggest asking about April as well, could still be off season but less likely to have a snow storm.

Green Bay wedding here, too Smiley smile

I think indoors in March would be just fine. As for weather/driving conditions...if you are worried about it, just think about having ceremony n reception at the same venue or a hotel venue.

Not planning it during football season is a plus as you can't predict the schedule but know that hotel blocks are nearly impossible/crazy expensive.

If you would like to get married in a church it might not be possible in March due to Lent. Otherwise March is a great off season option! I'd just recommend planning on having everything indoors
